    Water containers.

Always used the ex military black plastic 20l cans on the landrover (tough and no nasty tastes) However when away in the van we just carry 2 of the 4/5l supermarket bottled water.... Then refill as needed... Until the handles weaken and drop off... At which point they go into the recycling...

    'Chinese' Diesel Heater

Pot luck by and large with the Chinese heaters... I guess if you're only using it now and again then it might be worth a gamble (especially if you're handy with screwdrivers etc) Personally speaking I went for a brand new eberspacher d2 on the basis we use the van all year around and I like...

    Wood Burners ...

Only as dangerous as any open flamed appliance... As with most a small amount of care and common sense goes a long way.

    Handy source of free timber....

Sadly your spot on.... Most goes for chipping into plywood or biomass type operations. Waste really (especially when we can use it)

    Handy source of free timber....

As a Airconditioning/refrigeration engineer our wholesalers regularly have fridge pipe delivered in wooden 'coffins' 3m or 6m long.... They break down easily into 3m/6m x 200mm x 20mm boards.... Rustic and not always perfect BUT the wholesalers are usually happy for you to take them away for...

    Wood Burners ...

Memories of being moored up on the Macclesfield canal with close to 12" of snow on the roof and all windows doors open.... And of waking up after lighting it one night after a shandy or so with the top of the chimney roaring like a jet engine and stovepipe glowing red....

    Wood Burners ...

Not in the camper BUT lived with one on a narrow boat for 10 years or so.... Very cosy... BUT I wouldn't have one in a campervan... Dusty Awkward to light (usually just when needed most) Awkward to keep lit as above... Need cleaning out Requires a ready source of decent dry wood (harder...

    Autosleeper self build

Are you trying to view it on a, mobile device ? The way YouTube links work can be awkward at times... Try searching YouTube for mfo918 And its titled chassis swap. YouTube Not a difficult job especially IF you keep the body intact. Few bolts/electrical plugs and hydraulic lines to disconnect.

We've rechassied a couple of landies using a two post lift.... This is the last one we did... Took us a weekend from driving in to driving out on a brand new galvanised chassis https://youtu.be/3w1f_VePNis Obviously lifting a fibreglass monocoque is a tad more awkward due to size and...

AC Fridge In Campervan -.Power Consumption Test

The desperation of some folks to rubbish/discredit other folks efforts to actually inject some 'fact' into the usual Internet expertise that sloshes round the T'interweb, really does lead me to despair at times..... Possibly rather than 'theories' picking holes in someone else's ACTUAL...

AC Fridge In Campervan -.Power Consumption Test

I considered the 240v fridge/ inverter route some time back but as our inverter (already installed for microwave/toaster/slow cooker/kettle etc) draws just below 2 amps on standby i ruled it out ... However the Waeco 40l coolbox has been well worth the cost BUT ill be interested to see what...

AC Fridge In Campervan -.Power Consumption Test

Interesting..... Just been speaking to one of our suppliers... He's chasing a price on 12v 134a compressors for me and reckons it's likely to be significantly less than £100...... Cheap triple a rated fridge (part of energy efficiency is extra insulation) And swap 240 comp to 12v compressor...
