    Make sure you take care that the sole plate on the saw is protected from marking the sheet you are cutting (or cut on the back side).... Nowt more gutting to make a nice cut then find you have damaged the surface in doing so ...ask me how I know .

    If you want a vacuum ....just buy a airconditioning vac pump (We use them to evacuate ac systems down to 1 torr before introducing refrigerant .     You could always link several together I guess... and oil migration probably wouldn't be a problem as, long as you kept the compressor topped up with oil.

    I'm 5'7 tall and found it a struggle sideways hence us going for North south layout. can't help on the rear windows as they were already in when we bought the van... generic van portholes I suspect....

    Not keen on woodwork.... not mad struck on wiring.... definitely don't like the trimming stage. After putting it off for months (easy to do as we've been busy going away in it lol) I eventually bit the bullet and made a start.... sticking carpet to vertical surfaces is like wrestling greased...

    At the end of the day.... we're all (well mostly) adults and have to live with the decisions we make. Some folks consider it perfectly fine to use an open flame source of heat in a pretty enclosed space to keep warm.... The comments on not using it whilst asleep are IMHO pretty academic as CO...
