Just double checked and my genny outputs 900W with peak at 1000W. It doesn’t Rev up in eco mode driving the current 2 x 18 amp Schaudt chargers. think I will have to get a couple of the 30amp Victrons. Been hanging on cos just one of them wasn’t enough, only recently thought about double Victron

It was when Charlie still had the Hymer I think, and it was the same model genny as mine. Looking at your figures though there shouldn’t be a problem at 50amps, can only think there must have been something else turned on in the van. Good news for me though 😁😁 thanks for the info 👍

If the 30amp only draws 1.5 amps at 240v then I could run two of them from my 1Kw genny? I know Charlie couldn’t run his Ring 50amp smart charger from a 1Kw genny, is the Victron that much lower draw?

Can anyone tell me how many amps at 240v I would need for the Victron Blue Smart IP22 12v - 30amp and the Blue Smart IP22 12v - 20amp chargers please?

I was thinking cost to get van grey to drinkable may well be eye watering. I keep looking at something for stream water and that's bad enough lol, bet grey will need much more frequent filter changes with soap but who knows. With a bit of luck this thread will bring some inexpensive options :)

when you use a generator do you plug it in the 240 hook up point Dave? Just wondering if it would see that as a generator or mains

Not wishing to start any flak but why? I have no choice but to use a generator to keep battery topped up most of the year. Victron themselves use the generator tag I think as a lot of boats use generators as do rev's. Saying that the setups Dave does are usually out of my budget but nice to see...

If you can separate it out you can use the grey water to flush toilet as it is I think, sure I have read where some RV's do just that. They also use it for flushing the black tank. Interesting project so keep us updated on what you find. I would think this is a harder task than recycling the...

Charlie used gas at an incredible rate in that Hymer he had with the Truma heating. Karen does like it warm though, was too hot for me but he would empty an 11kg bottle in two days 8 think it was in Winter.
