Agreed, I built mine to use not sell & whilever its reliable I shall just use it. Resale is of no interest after I built it myself & every plank of wood & every fitting holds memories of good times spent enjoying the build....

Not to mention all the welfare busses, unless they don't count....

My Scudo's supposed to be galv & it looks good on a 05 plate but my 04 plate Expert (same van) is looking a bit rough round the sills now.

Been looking to replace my Fiat Scudo blat motor & spotted a nice transit Tourneo on the "bay", 51 plate with 340,000 miles on the clock. Might just risk it.....

The money they asked for isn't a charge to change anything, it's the phgv tax money. I never asked to change the taxation class,& they never said anything about changing the body type which is what I applied to do. Like has been said, might be as well changing to phgv first then trying for motor...

Just had my logbook returned rejected. The letter says they have rejected my "tax application" because I did not enclose the correct tax money! Not one single word about the application for motor caravan status...

Put a thetford cassette in mine & its sound. I don't got a shower but I wash in the sink & that does ok. Looks a nice van. Good size & bulletproof engine if looked after. Interior can be made how you want a bit at a time. Looks to be plenty room for water etc & a cassette toilet should fit somewhere. Good thing is log book already changed.....👍😏

Seems to me that even this new set of rules is down to personal interpretation. Surely if this is the required spec it should be written in such a specific way that is either right or wrong. Who, for instance decides if the rear windows let in "a reasonable amount" of light? Still a mess & still...

I intend to fit the isolator inside the cab where it can be operated from the driving seat. Relays etc are just more complication that I'm trying to avoid. One big heavy switch seems like it will do what I want it to without any drama...

80amp fuses are connected in line to the positive wire from the starter battery just before it reaches the leisure batteries. I believe there is also one under the bonnet but I didn't fit that one.

Came. In silver so I repainted it Brunswick Green so it would blend into the countryside better. I think it's a lovely colour too thanks.
