    The longest paint job.

Painted my bus by hand, industrial skip paint & a small foam roller, but played it on with the roller, then brush finished it with a 4 ins brush. That took the bubble effect off, & didn't look at all bad....

    Dvla body type

Fancying a short single decker as my next project, but not sure what license I'd need. If it gets changed to motor caravan on the logbook, I reckon I'd need a HGV License, if it is refused, & stays a bus irrespective of conversion or tax class surely I'd need a PSV license? Yet more confusion...

    Dvla body type

I currently have a 5.5tonne Iveco welfare bus conversion, which the DVLA are happy for me to use as a motor caravan, it has a class 4 mot, & its taxed as a bus. The post office couldn't tax it as anything else while that logbook taxation class says Minibus. The entire system is shit, everyone...

    Dvla body type

My bus is taxed as a bus, 165 same as PHGV, but with the added bonus that I can get away with using bus lanes....🐻😉

Few pics of my Iveco bus

Few pics of my Iveco bus

Considered a dripfeed diesel, but decided on a log burner instead for a few reasons, mostly I can always find free wood, not very often you pick up free diesel....

Most of my flue will be single wall. The only twinwall section will be where it actually goes through the bus roof. Got some fireproof insulation to put in the void, & a silicone flashing for up on the roof.

    Large campervan

When did you pass your test? If you have 7.5t entitlement, the obvious choice is a bigger vehicle. A small truck type vehicle, or a larger minibus would be my choice, heavier built components plus more room. Overall size isn't a problem most of the time, & its a small price to pay for the extra...

Few pics of my Iveco bus

I already have an eberspacher fitted, but the controls are up front next to the drivers seat & the ignition needs to be on to fire it up. OK for emergency use but too much FAFF for everyday heat....

Now the weather has turned again, thoughts have turned to logburners again. Bought this one, tidy little unit & seems well made. Just waiting for a section of twinwall flue pipe then it can be fitted Side shelves will be useful for drying my socks! Good sized door window so I can watch the...
