    Turbo-charging Motorhome Electrics

@wildebus Why not use Node-Red to control the relay which will disconnect the lithiums? Does the LiFePo4 really worry about the absorption voltage? Those that don't use B2B's and charge direct from the alternator aren't. Long absorption periods would ensure the lithium batteries balance and...

    Chinese Diesel heaters

Thanks for info Craig, unfortunately (or fortunately) not a FB user. I'll do some measuring to see how a 2kW would fit. Perhaps @Philip Tomlinson can negotiate a discount for us 🤔.

    Chinese Diesel heaters

I have wondered about the Lavaner diesel heater which are supposed to be better than the regular Chinese diesel heater. These seem to me a little difficult to get hold of in the UK, there is a company that fits them though. If the Ebespacher seems over priced, how do the Planar heaters...

    Buzzer indications

I would tell students to use the white lines as a trigger to cancel indicators, for example, turn left, major to minor, as you cross the white line, cancel your indicator.

    Favourite 3 tools

After watching TheHWcave videos I decided to buy the 210E, it is accurate enough for most things I do these days. The fact accuracy and sample rate can be improved is a bonus and for less than £40 a bargain I my opinion.

So easy for measuring current, the old days of an inline ammeter and then you find the fuse blew last time it was used 😡. Not sure what I would choose as the other two favourites 🤔.

I bought one of these after years of AVO Model 8's and Fluke DMM's. UNI-T UT210E True RMS AC/DC Current Mini Clamp Meters w/ Capacitance Tester https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00O1Q2HOQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_fabc_3BFGJFXB72VB8FYKCAGM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 So much easier for DC current measurement.

    Not a Self-build, but a Tweaker

I had better luck with Avtex and for the issue I had was told to select 1:1 for the aspect ratio. What I hadn't appreciated was that each 'Source' has its own 'Setup' menu e.g. that setting 16:9 in TV doesn't affect the other 'Sources', unlike our TV at home.

    Inverter cutting out

Your battery is made up of a number of cells. There are different types of cell construction, prismatic, cylindrical and pouch. Cylindrical are round and have a metal outer, so inherently strong. Prismatic are rectangular in shape, take a look at the DIY Lithium thread. Pouch cells look like...

Bit late to this thread, poor signal were I've been recently👩‍⚕️. This is a snap from this morning, 2 x 100/30 Victron MPPT, these have no Load output. My AMT isn't fitted at the moment :( as it's back with Ablemail for reprogramming to work with LiFePo4's only.

Be gentle with me, advice greatly received.

@susarich The last thing I bought was the battery but everything I purchased before that could be adjusted/setup to run with whatever battery I bought. When I had the solar I wanted I then bought the battery to store the energy I could harvest. Our van is only 6 metres long, space is limited...

We've just changed from AGM (lead acid) to Lithium, the difference is like night and day to us. If you can afford Lithium there are advantages. We bought Ecotree LiFePO4, they come from a British company who were very helpful. Email Paul paul@transporterenergy.co.uk Look on YouTube for Urban...

@susarich Are you sure 200 watts is enough for your needs? Perhaps consider the space you have to fill, look at different manufacturers panels and choose panels that get you the most watts and leave as much free space for more panels in the future.
