I would remove the front bit and rebuild slopped box front to keep water out, then all single glass would come out to fit d/glass, back doors of and sealed also, would need to be cheap to buy as very old and requires lots of work, been there had the T shirt.

Led bulbs may flicker if cable to thin which i dought, more like the heater interfering with them, try fitting a ferite ring on lighting cables close to bulbs, or some sort of smoothing capacitor at motor.

The big problem with standard batteries is that the plate frame inside starts to break up and crumble falling to the bottom of the casing causing internal leakage, hence i always tell folk to buy a varta or bosch silver battery as this will not happen to at least 5 years old. (y)

You can buy a 230v mini fridge for £70, then if you can get one a Nikkai soft start smart inverter 600w, i have done all the tests following wildbuses posts, it has worked 100% and very happy i went down this path. I made a lock tab for door and also changed the opening to the other way.

I think some do this but use a timmer with off on to let the battery cool between high voltage bursts.
