Charging system for a minimal camper?

2 batteries takes twice as long to charge if using a 10ah charger, same if charging off the alternator, but then again they will almost last twice as long before requiring a boost, as for solar, the rules is 100w panel for 100ah battery minimum, and 3/4 mths of the year they are useless inGB.

Charging system for a minimal camper?

I would have fitted led carbon batts, pos 2 for sure, but remember it takes twice as long to charge them, but the l carbon does not suffer sitting at a lower charge than standard or agm batts, solar is for sure a good upgrade but only good from spring to aut.

    The longest paint job.

Proper etch is 2 pack and almost clear with a slight yellow tinge, top coat should be 2 pack polyurethan, can be rolled or sprayed with a gravity gun, 40psi and about 14 cfm compressor, many folk years back used coach paints, mine could do with a repaint sometime soon.

Best plan is to strip all out and start fresh before a rebuild to camper.

Starting a new build- Need insulation, for noise and heat.

Floor ply is best coated in fibre glass both sides and edges, resin board is much better. Do remember to have all wiring runs sorted and in place at the start, think solar is a must.
