Finally swapped the 3 way fridge for 240v one

It's not a deal breaker IF the light flashes when the Inverter isn't running... And I'm not bothered enough to mess with micro switches etc... Was just curious IF the incandescent bulb would pull enough to fire the Inverter... But as the lamp is only 15w anyway it doesn't trigger the Inverter to...

Finally swapped the 3 way fridge for 240v one

It is LED.... Swapped it for a incandescent (as it turns out rated at 15w) But it still pulses in and off (I presume with the inverters eco mode pulses) 15w appears to be the lowest that I can set the inverters wake up current to. Not the end of the world and I'm sure I can find a work around...

Finally swapped the 3 way fridge for 240v one

Nope it didn't come with it.... To be honest it's not something we'd ever use. Part of the reason I went with this one was its got plenty of fridge space inside.

Finally swapped the 3 way fridge for 240v one

Eventually stirred myself to take out the 3 way fridge today ready for installing a replacement 240v unit.... Surprisingly not too difficult... Let along compared to finding a replacement that fits.... Think I've found one now but in black rather than silver I wanted.... Hey ho it'll still fit...

12v issues please help! Half working electrics

Been there.... Got that T shirt.... Everyday is a school day and it usually gets sorted either via helpful input from folks far far more knowledgeable than me OR a big hammer.

12v issues please help! Half working electrics

Does sound odd.... I used IKEA leds with the transformers chopped off (they were 12v via 240/12v transformer at the time... Though now appear to be 240/24v now) Without any issues.... Have you tried them on the vehicle battery and comparing starter battery/leisure battery voltages via a multi...

12v issues please help! Half working electrics

Are you lights LED.... Sounds almost like they aren't getting enough voltage to work from the battery... Needing the boost from the alternator to fire them up.

    Bloody Stixall Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

I did use the term 'wondered' Speaking from the view of folks involved in the plumbing scene.... Where they often fill/weight shower trays and baths to ensure the sealer bond is formed when the joint is at maximum negative deflection (full so at lowest point) And under compression most of the...

    Bloody Stixall Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

I've often wondered whether 'some' applications call for a none setting mastic instead of a 'bonded' solution.... Think of applications where one side of the bond is rigid (roof light frame) But the other side moves more (like a van roof) Wind and harmonic vibrations can do some pretty odd...

    Earth 2 van

BTW if anyone wants some copper tube (refrigeration grade so heavier duty than plumbing stuff) Shout up.... I've often got offcuts of various lengths from 1/4 - 3/8 - 1/2 - 5/8 Mostly soft drawn (malleable coil form) Occasional hard drawn (lengths)

    Earth 2 van

I was gobsmacked how much easier it makes stuff.... So much so I've got one for the work van too ;-)

    Bloody Stixall Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

By and large Apparantly the 'Galv/phosphate' coating acts like a bag around the bare metal.... As long as its bent and not torn/cut it'll still protect the metal (paint works to protect the metal in much the same way...)

    Bloody Stixall Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

According to a good friend (Pro body guy that works for Bentley etc) And speaking to some of the guys at the various car plants I work at. A lot of 'Galvanised' bodies aren't galvanised in the way that a set of galvanised gate hinges are... The metal work would buckle and warp at the temps...

    old engine oil

I wouldn't..... Drip feed heaters are pretty tolerant of old (filtered oil) I doubt the eber pump will enjoy pumping the old engine oil and even less so the combustion chamber/glow plug... It's heavier viscosity and contaminants will lead to sooting and fouling issues. Frankly they use so...

    Not a Self-build, but a Tweaker

We carry some 3"x2"x24" blocks (they were part of some pallets our aircon units came on) That gives us quite a wide range of heights used just stacked or sometimes one transverse with the other longitudinal to for a ramped T shape.... AND I've not broken them yet (unlike the Milenco plastic...

    Not a Self-build, but a Tweaker

Rear legs certainly help on our swift 590.... I usually use blocks to reduce how much I have to wind them down though I use a cordless drill and a 3/8 drive socket.

Few pics of my Iveco bus

Understand that.... Though finding decent dry good burning fallen wood can be harder these days than it used to be.... To be honest the drip feed stoves I've had dealings with have been so frugal that they almost ran for free.... Couple of the, boats near me used to collect used oil from...
