    Naughty Victron

I thought this evening to give Murky a treat and put the heating on for a couple of hours. Whilst fiddling with the victron app I noticed the solar had been changing each morning. It couldn’t have been putting much current in, as the sun doesn’t get around the house until the afternoon...

    Diesel Heater On All Night

I wonder how fussy the eberspacher number are, as I intend to take them to the limit. The D4L will be mounted on the left and the exhaust needs to exit on the right.

    Diesel Heater On All Night

Silencers are a funny subject, especially for a constant noise. Trying to absorb annoying frequencies without reducing flow is not that easy. Even with perforated tube, hole size and spacing can make a big difference. I studied this for a while before deciding life is too short.

    Diesel Heater On All Night

Lets hope you have found the answer. I'm running without a silencer on Betty at the moment and it does howl.

    nissan cabstar camper dvla?

Your dilemma does make you wonder. I just thought about what if you have a mini artic? 8 tonne combined weight. Crew cab with a fifth wheel on it. Park your trailer up and then go shopping with the tractor unit. I have no idea what that would be classified as? Would the trailer need testing?

    Diesel Heater On All Night

As Jeff mentioned this could easily proved by extending your exhaust temporarily away from the vehicle?

    nissan cabstar camper dvla?

This is the point I'm trying to make, as much as your interpreting what is and is not ok. Some official could argue the opposite. Please don't think I'm trying to pick a fight and I'm in this muddle too. I'm just keeping my head down and if I find myself in court I'll create merry hell there!

    nissan cabstar camper dvla?

The down side is even if the body type is accepted as motor-caravan, the taxation class is still hgv. My argument would be that a passenger vehicle can't be hgv. I think it's the same with busses and coaches. If not used for paying passengers, it must be hgv! It's just a mess. What is...

    Violating a Princess!

So potentially I have three dc unused supplies. What if I could current limit one of them to use as a starter battery hold up?

It does it all manually Phil, it's just nice to know how it works after looking at them for many months.

    Violating a Princess!

No David, the problem, if you can call it a problem. Is that the remote control remembers what it last did. It does not operate both fans simultaneously, as far as I know. So a button that toggles, such as on/off remembers it's state.

    Violating a Princess!

As I now have power to both Maxxfans, it gave me a chance to play with them via remote control. So yes one controller will operate two fans, but there is a glitch. The remote control remembers the state it was last used. For example. If both fans are running, but closed and you choose to turn...

Finally at a higher price via amazon the 12 way fuse holder came. Now able to power both maxxfans. I bit more work required and I can test the cooker and shower fans.

So what loads do you have on the system? A standby overhead of 10 watts is quite hefty.
