Silencers are a funny subject, especially for a constant noise. Trying to absorb annoying frequencies without reducing flow is not that easy. Even with perforated tube, hole size and spacing can make a big difference. I studied this for a while before deciding life is too short.

Your dilemma does make you wonder. I just thought about what if you have a mini artic? 8 tonne combined weight. Crew cab with a fifth wheel on it. Park your trailer up and then go shopping with the tractor unit. I have no idea what that would be classified as? Would the trailer need testing?

As Jeff mentioned this could easily proved by extending your exhaust temporarily away from the vehicle?

No David, the problem, if you can call it a problem. Is that the remote control remembers what it last did. It does not operate both fans simultaneously, as far as I know. So a button that toggles, such as on/off remembers it's state.

As I now have power to both Maxxfans, it gave me a chance to play with them via remote control. So yes one controller will operate two fans, but there is a glitch. The remote control remembers the state it was last used. For example. If both fans are running, but closed and you choose to turn...

Finally at a higher price via amazon the 12 way fuse holder came. Now able to power both maxxfans. I bit more work required and I can test the cooker and shower fans.
