Be gentle with me, advice greatly received.

Betty's roof has lots of furniture, and the max fans cause the biggest shadows of all. It's just being aware of them.

    How greedy are you?

My monitoring facilities are not as smart as yours David. This morning I had enough solar capacity left I was able to offer to charge a new van, fortunately the system was not set up properly and with the help of another camper it was able to charge itself.

    How greedy are you?

This is based on the mppt’s harvesting numbers and all the batteries getting to 100%

    How greedy are you?

Having been keeping an eye on daily consumption we haven’t exceeded 1.5kwh a day. Air 2kw eberspacher is used each night. The 12kw water eberspacher is run twice a day for hot water. Radio most of the day. Water pump as and when. The engine starter batteries are permanently connected to a...

what did you do about your step?

Any exposed metal work will be somewhere for condensation to form. Even the heads of the screws though the battens! It can be a laborious task. Try to use only closed cell insulation. Any wool or fibrous material will hold water in time. I’ve used pu foam board to fill the big voids and self...

    Violating a Princess!

Time to step up to another challenge. I’ve been putting this off for a while, but I don’t know why. A new step is required as the original is rotting. One of the pains being is that it also has to be a removable cover for the eberspacher. The eberspacher has a washable foam filter, so once...

    Violating a Princess!

Keeping it simple. I have an air blown eberspacher connected to a length air hose. This runs from one end of the coach to the other. At the other end of the hose I have a water heated fan heater. This has been adapted to also blow into the same length of hose. When the water heated heater is...

Forget what battery you want, initially it's meaningless. It's like buying a camping stove for starting a bread making business. What electrical items are you going to want? List them. How long are you going to use each item for? List the time in the day and how often each week. Then look up...

    Water heating connect

I think this looks like one of those job where you need to be cool, calm and collected. Where you have a rigid pipe into a push fit socket, chamfer the pipe so it doesn't damage the O ring. If you rigid pipe is too soft there are inserts to put inside the pipe. With the threaded fasteners, the...

It doesn't feel right when something that should be enjoyable messes with your head. It's no help at all, but I often find that if I compromise with an idea I often regret it. Do what you want after listening to others ideas. If you do make a mistake you can be proud that it was yours. ;)

It would really help with pictures of the offending items.

    Would you barrier.....

A good quality duct tape would also work a galvanic barrier. Potentially there could be 0.25 volts between the two.
