    Seating

From my limited experience and being a fussy bugger I find most seating very uncomfortable. It doesn't help with so many people being very tall. That is over the normal height of 5'3" and that seating is possibly designed around them. I've always thought there must be British Standard Seat...

    Violating a Princess!

Progress. Anita has managed to secure some sheet materials for lining and other bits. The product I was after for the bulk of the lining was not available, so we settled for an inferior board. The MII eberspacher has finally got an exhaust outlet, though still some tidying to do. No sign of the...

    Chinese diesel ducting

Oh well I waisted my time as a cylinder-head development engineer. They'd better give their awards back lol

    Chinese diesel ducting

Weirdly the corrugated tube is supposed to improve air flow by making the air stick to the wall. It's also supposed to reduce simultaneous reverse flow on the wall, but that is a whole other sad story. (excuse the pun please)

    Chinese diesel ducting

You'll need to balance the flow. Some kind of adjustable restriction. This is why I used 90mm in Betty for main duct and branched of with 60mm that still may need restricting. I guess your going down one side and up the other?

What are you doing to your van ready for the forthcoming season?

My concern was 1. Condensation. 2. Warm water is not so nice to drink.

3-Way Fridge running on AC in a Motorhome - Power Consumption Test

Yes you are correct, Mercedes bit 24 volt. Amateur bit 12 volts.

3-Way Fridge running on AC in a Motorhome - Power Consumption Test

In the Murky build I have two inverters, one running from the engine start batteries and the other from the habitation. When driving at night, by moving a three pin plug I can swap mains circuits to run from the engine inverter. This enables me to run the mains fridge, charge the habitation...

AC Fridge In Campervan -.Power Consumption Test

Internal combustion engine burning petroleum to make electricity is supposed to be 20% efficient, I expect it’s more like 10% So 90% is heating the planet! In fact the remaining percentage will end up as heat. I was going to use an old lister to burn waste oil to make electricity, after...

    Violating a Princess!

As usually when I was supposed to be doing something else, I thought it was time to get some quotes on lining materials. Best measure up first. It was a bit nippy this morning, so fire up the water eberspacher to warm the place up. Water pump making horrible noises, what is going on? Turn...

    Lithem battery bus bars

It's not the thickness of the copper, rather the cross sectional area. Also note all copper does not have the same conductivity. The difference is small so not really worth worrying about. What you need to think about is the maximum load you will put on them and how hard you'll going to charge...

I don't mean to be rude, but 40x40 aluminium box is overkill unless you have a serious weight problem. The Murky and Betty build uses 40 x 20 x 3 and that is overkill. The Murky bed was intended for an Iveco. One of the design specifications was that it had to survive extremely energetic sex...

    Skoolie Plan

Many years ago when we were allowed to travel. I noticed in Europe that Murky was getting smaller or the motorhomes were getting bigger.

    Violating a Princess!

Thought I would muscle in and post something seeing as Mark always does the posting. Here he is cussing whilst doing the welding for our overhead storage lockers. Its a job he has been putting off but its taking shape :)
