    Photonics Universe Inverters

From what I have read and watched they only pull their max rating, in my case that would be 800W. Not sure if it’s worth querying it with them or not.

    Photonics Universe Inverters

Hmm, got a reply today, not sure why they say what they have unless it isn’t actually 1000w continuous as stated: Thank you for getting in touch with us regarding our pure sine wave inverters. The power rating of the induction hob might be a bit too close to the power rating of the...

    Photonics Universe Inverters

The 100W is a good bit cheaper and will run what I want to run Dave. If I want to run the microwave and the PSW isn’t big enough I would just reconnect the Krieger. The difference in dosh can go towards a new drum,I want a bugger one :) Will pm you 👍

    Photonics Universe Inverters

I have one of the Vanco single plate induction hobs David, rated at 800W full power so was thinking the 1000W would be big enough? I may just disconnect my 1500/3000W Kreiger MSW inverter and use the cables/fuses from that. I bought that when I needed to go bigger for the escooter fast charger...

    Photonics Universe Inverters

Just wondering if anyone has experience of the Photonics Universe badged Pure Sine Wave inverters either good or bad? I am tempted to get the one below to run my induction hob during periods of good solar harvesting. I know cheaper price can often mean unfit for purpose on what you think and...

This Swiss van pulled up next to us.

Must admit I did assume it was custom build and I know assumptions can be risky 😁😁 I think I could live with that okay if the internal layout suited, have certainly seen worse.

    Legal or illegal?

I think a move to two year testing would result in a lot of potentially unroadworthy vehicles being on our roads. There is still a good number of vehicles that only get work done to pass the MOT, that’s likely to increase with rising cost of living as well.

    Legal or illegal?

@Squiffy @mistericeman do you know if there is a distance from the vehicle used for viewing the lights (sort of think used in roadside eyesight tests)? Regardless people should use a bit of common sense (controversial I know lol) and avoid anything that COULD result in a tug as who knows what...

My coachbuilt has a big overhang but you get used to it easy enough. Must suit them if they kept it that long. Wonder what hoops they had to go through as isn’t it a lot stricter to customise vehicles in Switzerland?

    Legal or illegal?

It is certainly more likely to leave you open to a tug from the police. Without seeing it in the flesh and rereading construction and use etc I wouldn’t really commit further. I know a lot of custom Harleys used to have the number plate on one side of the back wheel and we’re legal, that leads...

    Inverter help needed

Okay maybe I should have expanded this post, it was meant in answer to your last paragraph where you were asking if it may be a problem getting the green light. I mean NO it wasn’t a problem, all ok 😁 Merl gave a lot more detail haha

Jeez, mine is a conventional travel scooter and was only twice that brand new lol. When I needed new battery’s I got 2 x Lifepo4 for a hundred quid the pair. (one of my posts said 36v but it is 24v). Maybe look at modifying if possible if/when the day comes. Don’t forget if you are disabled you...

Ah okay, it’s more like an escooter then maybe. Ignore previous post haha I know on my escooter it’s li-on but removable (Riley R1) and you can carry spare batteries, new battery is just over £100 though so will keep within the 25k range ha ha On the U.K. side, I bet your mobility scooter is...

If I remember right li-ion is the one that suffers from memory, I can’t remember what ideal cycle is for them. For your usage though I would aim at charge whenever you can. If it eases your mind you can fit any battery technology that will physically fit in the battery box, you may need a...

    Split Charge

Rae, when I had problems with my EBL/control panel I didn’t expect it back in time to refit before going off again last winter. I bought a pack of 6 usb rechargeable puck lights that turn on/off by touch or remote, low and high settings and timers, stitch with double sided tape, screw or...

You need to try it, I think it will do the job okay with what you have, it will depend how many hours you are driving to recharge though. What the range on the scooter with 10Ah battery, 10 or 12 miles? I can’t say how much mine used as I have always been a fairly big leccy user due to my fridge...
