Victron Multiplus and BMV Battery Monitor

Dark mode definitely better for my eyes out of those two options

How to remove trim Sprinter T1n

Had the trim out to run the cable I wanted and it is almost like new underneath it. There is a drain towards the right end in the centre of the step. Hopefully yours will be in the same condition Phantom 👍

How to remove trim Sprinter T1n

I couldn’t find the right size star driver yesterday so son in law bringing his over this morning. I know drivers side is very good apart from dust and dirt that had got behind it but it wiped off okay, hopefully this side will be similar but I will report back 👍

How to remove trim Sprinter T1n

I was about to take a pic to post showing there was nothing there when I spotted one in the middle. Bit more looking and I spotted the other two. The bungs that went in were a perfect match and very hard to see even with my glasses on. Took bungs out and then took a pic in case anyone needs to...

How to remove trim Sprinter T1n

@wildebus , I couldn’t find anything on sprinter-source but that may have been my search terms. Anything with step gave the side door step which seems popular for problems but not front door steps

How to remove trim Sprinter T1n

Not been to look yet as we have still got rain but will check later. I haven’t laid on the floor so far due to the rain but had a feel yesterday and wasn’t sure. I should spot covers if it has them, with my glasses on i hope lol

How to remove trim Sprinter T1n

Passenger side? I have that drivers side but can’t spot them on passenger side. I will have a good close look with my specs on tomorrow and report back 👍

How to remove trim Sprinter T1n

I am not sure what the proper term for it is but I want to remove the plastic trim that sits in the door well (?) on the passenger side. It’s the bit you put you foot in before getting up to cab floor level. Driver side is easily removed by unscrewing the two very obvious Phillips head screws...

Charging system for a minimal camper?

I can vouch for. Votronic 100%. If I only do 10 months of the year in my van I have had a very poor year and the Votronic kit has never placed a foot wrong, as I said the mppt if anything outperforms the Victron. Saying that get whatever you want it makes no difference to me :) 👍

Charging system for a minimal camper?

If I were you I would seriously consider a 100W folding panel or a lose 100W panel you can lean against the van. When you are parked up it has to be solar or a genny or both

Charging system for a minimal camper?

Re the B2B, I have been using a Votronic 30amp for a couple of years or more. I don’t think Victron did them at that time but I wouldn’t pay the extra that they cost. I do have a Victron battery monitor (needed when I changed to Lifepo4) so I can see what amps are going in very easily but...

    Drip strip?

Been having a look at mine this morning, it’s very dirty but I don’t appear to have any rust problem at top of the windscreen. You mention a rubber seal on yours, is this around the windscreen or between the top moulding and the van steel? Reason I ask is mine has a bonded windscreen and just...

Mine is exactly the same except it’s dirtier than your. Yes I think your idea is worth a go

    Upgrading alarms

I would have thought a factory alarm in a pvc should be fine. If you want to add other types of security more visible or not then do what makes you happy 👍

    Lipo low power charging

Thought that was what you meant but wanted to make sure 👍

    Lipo low power charging

Can you clarify the last paragraph Dave, do you mean on your particular make of battery with inbuilt heating the SoC will be incorrect? I think that’s what you mean rather than if someone fits separate heating pads but it’s early and my head is murky :)

Which Adhesive to attach cellotex to aluminium sheets

Not sure it it is an option for you as I think it would work out quite expensive but have you looked at the composite boards they use to make motorhomes and boxes (as in live in boxes) from?

    Home assemble LiFePo4

Sorry folks, not sure if I had missed my meds when I typed this but I made a glaring error each time I put minus 5, it should have just been plus 5 then reduced rate charging to zero and safely discharge to minus 20.

Which Adhesive to attach cellotex to aluminium sheets

If you look through Greg Virgos build videos on YouTube he used some purpose made pin/clips that I think had scotch 3m to stick them to the metal. I remember seeing it and thinking it was a good idea but don’t remember much else, good luck

    Home assemble LiFePo4

Not sure if I have missed something but does your set up not work in the same way commercially built Lifepo4 battery do? I can put as much charge as I can throw at them realistically down to minus 5, from minus 5 to zero I can still charge but at a reduced rate. In any event I can carry on...
