    'Chinese' Diesel Heater

Use the syringe to pull it through to the pump and then push it through from the other side of the pump to the heater... Saves a heap of messing as it'll usually prime itself after that.

    Frigid fiddling's

I didn't say electric was ALL answers cooking wise (though we did fine in the transit with microwave/kettle/slow cooker and toaster all powered by electric from solar or split charger). BUT absorbtion refrigeration is frankly past it... Its too finicky... Not level enough Wind in wrong...

    Frigid fiddling's

Motorhome manufacturers STILL fit silly little relays for charging and halogen bulbs for lights... Change happens very slowly in some industries.... I'm not really bothered about what folks think about what I do conversion wise (I long ago got bored with trying to convince people that there...

    Frigid fiddling's

Funny you never seem to get folks pulling out compressor fridges and going back to gas.... The only people that seem 'married' to absorbtion fridges are the ones that haven't yet had experience of compressor types. Sorry BUT absorbtion type refrigeration (other than in heavy industrial...

    Frigid fiddling's

Because most motorhome manufacturers think they are still building 1970s caravans.... I'm constantly amazed not to find gas lights and a sunken compartment in the floor as a cool box.... 3 way fridges really are out of the ark and frankly are best chucked in the bin.... Tempremental at...

2 stroke expansion Chambers tuned to pulse resonance is a dark art to maximise scavenging .... 4 stroke exhaust getting more exhaust flow than induction volume.....

There are some idiots out there in this self building world of ours!!

IF and its a big IF that's not on airbags.... Then, I call photoshop.. IF It's on bags then it's all about the 'look' and that's fair enough. Camber has been a Thang long before bags were in vogue.

    'Chinese' Diesel Heater

That's only dirt that's in the, air already.... You want to see the aircon unit filters I have to deal with (they recirc air too) Even external fed DX coils run filters to filter the external air. To be honest on the transit (eber is under front passenger seat drawing air from cab) I just...

    'Chinese' Diesel Heater

I wouldn't trust not drawing combustion exhaust in from outside... Air currents can do odd things/breeze in wrong direction etc (let alone the possibility of bringing in smells from outside) And I'd personally would want to be 100% that no combustion exhaust gasses came back into the van. As...

    'Chinese' Diesel Heater

Are you 100% certain that there's no chance of drawing combustion air back inside... Because that isn't going to be pleasant. And are you not going to reduce efficiency of the heater by constantly having to warm ambient air rather than recirculating the cabin air?

There are some idiots out there in this self building world of ours!!

More than a few from what I've seen noticed over the years... Some folks seem to apply the 'It fits.... It sits' mentality... Irrespective of safety/load ratings or construction and use regs etc... And the old 'well it passed an mot' isn't going to cut it with your insurance company when...
