    Phew!!

That's how I worked it out David. I wasn't sure how you'd get it to work with 12v systems but figured you might/would. I searched for the ones in this video from one of the channels I watch a lot, and he looks after vintage busses and coaches converted to RVs.

I always thought the Zig stuff quite aesthetic but badly designed for a self build, wasn't supposed to be of course, but that one was £2 at a breakers in Pontefract , it had just enough on it to be useful, and I liked that it was positive switchgear not this membrane crap so many are now.

Oddest Campervan Battery Bank so far ...

If it's of interest the controller, still making the same model, it was seperately reccomended by two very good MoHo sparkies on facts and quite a few on the forums bought them with no issues, they were on Ebay for a while but shipping issues buggered it up as did customs. I have one kicking...

Oddest Campervan Battery Bank so far ...

Not too dissimilar to how I did my selfbuild Dave. I had the 2 x 110ah LBs and the 110ah Vb all connected via 25mm2 cable and 100a fuses, The solar went via the controller to the LBs which had a 4mm2 fused at both ends link wire to the VB so all got some charge, The s/h Zig panel controlled the...

    Don't always trust tools!

Shop keepers tend to chuck you out for that, and it would void any warranty.

Who tests the tester issue. I sometime need to by a spirit level or a temp gauge and you only have to look at them on the shelf to see some are absolut rubbish, levels are okay as they are the simplest to test so no need to compare them, but temp gauges can be miles out, I bought four outside...

Iveco's are usually nice to drive as they are more truck-like than most vans, but they are also built like a truck and therefore quite heavy so less payload and also in my experience quite thirsty so unless you really like this one I'd look at other more popular makes

Communication failures by the DVLA about what a campervan is leave people confused

Not sure that's problem, almost all PVC will have barn doors, lift up ones would look and perform better but you rarely see them as more expensive, and all the mainstream converters have barn doors.

Communication failures by the DVLA about what a campervan is leave people confused

Having looked at some of these "motor caravans" on the different forums and tried to be objective and look at them as if from a person in the street trying to give the police a description after a drive-off, van with windows would seem pretty accurate to me, as from the outside that is what they...
