Nissan Navara D22 Wild Camper Project.

If you don't mind LHD, have a look on mobile.de. There seem to be a lot more used 4x4 Daily's and Sprinters available in Germany.

    New van time!

Is there much difference in price at that age? I'd go for whatever looked in best condition service history etc.

    Talk to me about torque!

Like this used all the time now instead of drill drivers. Mayer, Paul (27 December 2010). "Do I Really Need an Impact Driver?". Woodworkers Guild of America. Archived from the original on 17 October 2012. Retrieved 17 October 2012. "An impact driver combines much higher rotational torque than...

Great service and good value van insulation

I made my 2 side curtains and one to separate the cab by lining fleece material with black out material, works very well, but perhaps not as good an insulator as lining bubble wrap. Well when I say I made them, I mean my ex Mrs did, lol. Only time I used them was in Sweden this winter, usually I...

    Talk to me about torque!

Sorry I probably used wrong term. The drill will make a clicking sound, and stop screwing, rather then the bit slipping in the screw.

    Talk to me about torque!

I doubt it's a philips, almost certainly a pozi or similar. Sorry didn't read post properly, must be a philips then.

    Talk to me about torque!

Sounds like you have the wrong driver bit. There are so many. Usual thing is to get wrong size pozi or mistake a pozi with a Philips List of screw drives - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Assuming correct bit, start of with low setting until clutch on drill slips, then gradually increase...

    Charcoal/wood burners for heating

So fitting and using a wood burner correctly is safe, fitting and using one like a plonker is potentially dangerous. So this differs from many other task how exactly? God forbid anyone service their van themselves, change their own brakes! I have it on good authority some people fill up their...

    New Project

Ok, right, I see what you mean now. The dealer is having a laugh, Mercedes have never put that VW 2.5 litre engine in the Sprinter. (Certainly not in Europe, and I don't think anywhere else) I thought you was referring to the Sprinter engine of similar hp, a completely different engine.

    New Project

2.9 engine hasn't been used since 99/00. Of course you never really who makes the engines but I have a huge suspicion your dealer is telling you porkies. If so how come VW have never used that engine?

    New Project

I don't think theres really much to choose between Crafter / Sprinter. OK there is the belt v chain cam, but provided service manual / intervals are kept to, is this really much issue? I believe the Crafter comes as standard with "ad blue" although I'm not sure from when, thats still an option...

    Telescopic table leg.

Can't believe it, ordered parts online after your post yesterday. Just delivered. How good is that. :)

    Telescopic table leg.

Yes, gone with that idea. Thanks very much. I'll just get 2 legs. Because the board you see in the pictures is now cut into 3 pieces ( too big for table in 1 piece) I'll use the short leg to support it in the middle when in bed position. Hope that all makes sense, I'm having a bit of trouble...

    Telescopic table leg.

Sorry, don't have exact measurements. (Vans full of furniture I'm moving for a mate, the joys of having a van, lol.) Hope the pictures help. The board I was using temporally to make up the bed I've cut into 3, (half & 2 quarters) The 2 smaller pieces fold over the top, I used piano hinges. Now...
