These are cassettes I've made to house the eco blinds. These take alot of care and time to produce but really worth the effort for a professional appearance to house the blinds and stop them hanging away from the wall plus stops them from flopping about and rattling while travelling the last two photos are of my van of the finished product. Phil

Maybe I should have hired you to project manage the Betty Build, I'll struggle to get your build quality.
It's things I have taught myself over the years Squirrell, mainly patients and trial and error, usually error 😄. I have always been of the argument that if someone else can do it so can I 🙂. This present build has taken me almost 4 months at nearly full time and I reckon I've still got a month to go before I can say it's finished but with small items still to be done as always happens 😊 Phil.

I am exactly as you are Phil, if someone else can make something then by hook or by crook so can I.................. Brilliant job by the way, your Sister In Law and indeed your most beloved must both be proud of you.

I thought I'd put up some photos of the tile edging I use to hide the carpet edges and gives the carpet a nice straight edge finish. I've carpeted the rear doors today and will post the results tomorrow. Phil

This goes to prove the theory that one day a van is a pile of bits and dangling wires and then just a few weeks later it looks nearly done! (Though I do realise it's not by magic but as a result of hours and hours of work....)

Love the colours. Wow factor....

Further progress on Sis in laws van, doors all on now and started on top lockers, beginning with the Micro wave cupboard.

How long now Phil before you are finally finished on this labour of love?

Well it's been over three weeks almost now and still it's not quite finished. I'm putting up some photos of the Awning fitting, it's a Fiamma 80s and I have to say its a lot smoother in operation than my more expensive Thule awning 😕. I ordered it from Magnums as they were having a Queen10 discount a big one too, also delivered next day very quick. The fitting of the mountings was a little more involved than Thule fittings as the Fiamma mounts have to precisely line up or the cassette will not sit in correctly, you can see in the photos how I made sure they all lined up. It is also extremely heavy, I had to commandeer my eldest son to assist in getting it up into position.
The inside of the van is almost complete I will post some final photos next week. Phil

Brilliant job Phil, as can only be expected when it comes to your skills.

As for Magnums, they are truly amazing, very good/excellent prices, very knowledgeable staff and fantastic delivery times using arguably the best couriers, namely DPD. I have just bought a Propex water heater from them and their Queen10 price was significantly less than anywhere else that we could find.

Fixing my awning was the job that made me most nervous. Also Fiamma like yours, but mine was side mounted so gravity didn't help the string line! But like all these things, once you get stuck in and think about it, you find a way.

Nice looking build...

Large light showing at the end of the tunnel 😃. Finished all the cupboards only the letter rack by the front driverseat and the book rack at the rear along the back wall to roof, then the decals for the outside, not looking forward to the decals as it will mean I have to clean the outside 😏. Some photos as said of the finished cupboards.
