Reasonably priced is the difficult bit, I have been looking at the caravan cushions on eBay thinking a bargain may be had wrong !! So I think you are right, just have to convince my wife of the immense satisfaction she will achieve by making a set of covers.😀

I think unless you are super organised and disciplined projecting cost is very difficult. I am doing a 7.5 tonne conversion hope to have it complete enough to use after a year of build time spending around six grand. But you do have to be realistic about cost of things with the words motor home...

Job done two of us with step ladders got it in place with no drama. I made two additional plates and drilled through the back of the awning and the body as well as through the bottom. So wound it out made a coffee and sat watching the world go by on my drive, very satisfying.

I have a 4.5m omnistor awning sourced second hand with no instructions. I have fixed the mounting brackets in place ready to mount the awning and am unsure how the awning is secured to the brackets when in place. A lip on the top of the brackets fits into a channel on the rear of the awning...

Its all about personal choices really for me, I could have used lighter materials but chose not to. We are happy with the way it is shaping up, and if when complete it is comfortable practical and easy on the eye all the better. No I haven’t tried those blades but I will, anything that helps...

Ironically Calor supplied the majority of the Shell fuel stations even though Shell have a customer base of their own that are serviced by Shell gas tankers. Strange but true.

It may be of interest to those with refillable lpg systems to know that Shell filling stations in the UK are moving out of auto gas supply, the removal of pumps and tanks is underway.
