    Fitting immersion heater

Would this be suitable both as a double pole isolating switch and a fuse? Thinking maybe fit a 5amp fuse if my thoughts regarding amperage is correct

    2Kw inverter under £300

@wildebus where do you get your Shucko plugs from, not finding much choice so far and mainly adaptors which arent suitable for the load I don’t think?

    Fitting immersion heater

I am going for a 2Kw (4Kw peak) inverter as posted in a separate thread just trying to get things straight before I do anything. Am I right in thinking that a 1Kw element at 230v is just over 4 amps?

    Fitting immersion heater

Was hoping you would reply 👍 At home the switch for the immersion looked the same as a cooker switch but that was 6 Kw so a lot more power. Just a white facia with a red switch not what it shows me in Srewfix. Is it the cooker switch type you mean similar to this...

    Fitting immersion heater

May not be something most people would do in their van but I know some of you have calorifier fitted like me. I have decided I am going to connect the 1Kw element that is fitted to my tank. The element has temperature control built in so I think I only need to fit a breaker and switch. Here are...

    2Kw inverter under £300

I have seen some cheap Chinese 2Kw inverters where they are in fact 2 1Kw inverters with each of the two plug sockets providing 1Kw but sold as a 2Ks inverter. I was just trying to make sure whatever I get is in fact going to provide 2Kw if a single plug is connected 👍

    2Kw inverter under £300

I am thinking of connecting up the immersion heater element that’s fitted to my calorifier for hot water Trev. If I am going to do that I may as well have it so I can also use the microwave. Saying that I would sooner junk the microwave as it’s only been used a couple of times to softer butter...

    2Kw inverter under £300

The Krueger unit isn’t a PSW inverter where the other one is although that may nor matter to me. The Sunshine Solar unit has 2x + and 2 x - battery cables. I have read documentation for both but still not sure if you can draw 2Kw from a single socket or if these are both in fact two 1Kw units in...

    2Kw inverter under £300

Ha ha no, that’s why I just said under £300 lol. Just thought someone may have come across them, I know folks who have bought solar from them and recommended so assuming a company who know their stuff. Was thinking that they wouldn’t badge their name if they were rubbish but hoped someone could...

    Mercedes Diesel Black Death ?

Make sure all air and oil filters along with oil are new, check any diesel filter and replace as necessary then see what it’s like. Should always do basics before considering anything more. Importantly make sure you know what needs to be changed and where it is. A lot of guys in a car club I...

    Mercedes Diesel Black Death ?

Sorry no idea about the turbo, just when you said about being down on power that was a symptom of BD. If your engine is the 2.7 turbo diesel 5 cylinder same as mine it should have lots of power. My Moho is 4tonnes but I can smoke the boy racers at the lights when I have one of my funny turns 👍

    Mercedes Diesel Black Death ?

They look clean to me, don’t think you have the problem show on Sprinter Source website 👍 It’s a good source of info though so may be worth a look at the T1N section

Fitting the rooflights, be very aware!

I have some of that but because I couldn’t see where it may be getting in I didn’t think it would work in this instance. I wanted something I could see would coat from the plastic cover to a couple inch around to make sure. I suppose I could have doused it all over and it may have found the...

Fitting the rooflights, be very aware!

I had to replace the roof light over the bed last year, couldn’t source an original so used a mini heki that was the same size as the opening. It left a problem the original was moulded to fit in circular cutouts on each corner and centre of each edge. The plastic frame of the roof light covered...

    George Clarke`s Amazing Spaces

It may have more online somewhere, there was a link on the front of the finished but but can’t remember what it was. For a total spend of £25k which included the mini I think they did well. Initially I thought it was a lot but then look what that would get in a secondhand Moho. as it happens I...

    George Clarke`s Amazing Spaces

Well it’s on my to watch list but didn’t get to it last night. Stopped on Doncaster services to walk dogs, get refreshments and fill gas. Came to put step in and nada. Very wet so checked what electrics I could get to then moved into garage and refilled gas. Floor was dry there so underneath and...
