    Jerry can holder

I'd be taking 1 or 2 cans too, to be on safe side. Even though I know there are very few places where fuel stations are more than a few hundred miles apart. Never pass a petrol station without filling up, even if tank is 3/4 full.

    Jerry can holder

One benefit of using ladder for storage is it will stop kids climbing up the ladder, or at least make it a bit more tricky. Any remote town you drive through, the kids will be straight up it. Might be a good place for waffle boards, if not cans?

    Not a Self-build, but a Tweaker

Same here, well not the £2500 worth but still a lot of money for batteries. Still, I have made the decision that when my LB's give up, they'll be replaced by Infinity sub zero's or whatever the equivalent is at the time. Hopefully a year or two away yet, might even be on next van by then. :)

Do I temper my spend or not?

Guess it depends what else is on your shopping list. But £200 spread over many years use of vehicle, pennies really. On the other hand, how many times a year, will you use 2000W heater, and how long do you run that for, easy to warm van up, turn it off when you need power else where. Juggling...

Water tank, anyone used this company?

I drink water from tank. Tank is only 40 or 50 litres (can't remember) so water isn't in it for long, and as tank is positioned by sliding door, it's so easy to rinse out and drain every few fillings.

Seating and Sleeping setup (MH2) - complete - Regal Upholstery

I think the two others were guests, while parked up. No mention of traveling with them.

I really can't see how swivel seats would have achieved anything in this case, in fact as mentioned, you would have lost storage space.

Seating and Sleeping setup (MH2) - complete - Regal Upholstery

I have a long "sausage" shaped bag which takes all the bedding. That sits behind the upright back cushion. Far from perfect but more comfortable than back cushion being completely up right.

All the beauty of converting your own van. I think your layout works very well, to get all you have in a MWB is no small achievement, especially with the internal storage for bikes etc, thats a huge bonus in my book.

Seating and Sleeping setup (MH2) - complete - Regal Upholstery

Looks very nice, lovely job. If cushions do move sideways at night, can’t see it being a huge job to remedy, possibly even by laying cushions a slightly different way, for example placing the full cushion that is now next to the bulkhead, on the outside, and smaller cushions by the bulkhead...

Will I regret a Ducato (etc) camper conversion?

Yes, I think you are right. Most welfare type mini buses are converted in UK from factory panel vans.

Will I regret a Ducato (etc) camper conversion?

Wonder why Mercedes would do that?

    The Red Beast

Great job, love it. 👍 That extra metre and a bit over the MWB really makes a huge difference, so much space.

Same here, 12V and USB sockets front middle and rear, and my van is only 6 metres external.

    Fibre/construction board

Buffalo board is amazing stuff, but it will rot, takes a while though. :) I reckon my trailers needed new floors about every, say 5 to 7 years. That was in a landscape and garden maintenance business, where trailers constantly had grass cuttings etc on them. So thats constantly soaked for 5 +...

I can just see that trailer behind my van now. Just need to get some toys to put in it. :) Good looking van there, enjoy.
