    Rusty Roof Joints ??

Just a word of caution. If you apply cellulose paint over some other paints, the cellulose can act like a paint stripper leaving an unpleasant mess.

IVECO LWB - Ex Military Ambulance - low mileage

I'd be tempted at 4k, looks like it was used as some kind of support vehicle. Not sure how they think it would be suitable for overland though.

    Raspberry Pi Power Management

I had an email about that yesterday. I wish I had more time to play and experiment. When I get to that stage with the "Betty" build I'll be pleading for help. Already I've been over keen insulting it, only to have to rip it out again to burry a wire. Note to ones self. MAKE A WIRING PLAN...

    Violating a Princess!

Where practical I've been stuffing the roof with the 40mm PU insulation. Yes cutting the 20mm strips by hand. I bought an insulation hand saw, it works better than expected. Though hard work pushing it through thicker sections. Whilst working on the roof I thought it was time for another...

The face you are looking at is in front of the rear wheels. The notch is for the front of the leaf spring if it had them (air suspension on the back) So the top face on the right hand side is the face that bolts to the chassis. I expect I'll make that in 5mm stainless and extend it to the...

I'm up to 400 litres, but space isn't easy to find. Because the tank is going to be bolted to the chassis I might have to build some structure inside it. It end up being hung in a single plane with the weight badly unbalanced. :(

I do get a little upset knowing that I have to run of over a litre of water before the shower is safe to enter. I guess I should take a bucket with me to save it.

Adding pipes to the outside of the vehicle

OMG, your dafter than I am. If you don't want to see any plumbing, just box it in. I'm guessing your using a domestic toilet, where are you going to find a mobile sewer? I've thought about collecting rain water in the past. You can buy small aluminium gutter sections with ease. My worry was...

    Violating a Princess!

Calorifier turned up today, so a test fit couldn't be resisted. It's going to be snug, but it'll be ok. Once installed any space around it will be stuffed with insulation. Also a trial fit of a gas cylinder. Again snug for two cylinders, but it'll be ok. The access door will be on the...

I haven't used this company, but it's the same sort of thing. https://www.viperperformance.co.uk/36_silicone-hoses.html It's funny that Betty had some silicone hoses already fitted. The hoses were as new, the hose clamps had rotted away.

I’m in this pipe dilemma now with the Betty build. Murky has copper with Yorkshire soldered fittings. Push fit domestic plastic. Automotive rubber hoses and steel pipes. I have pump noise. I extract my water from the top of the stainless steel tank with copper pipe. This changes quickly to...
