I don't know if it's possible with the Merc switch, but sometimes it's possible to remove the switch face and reverse it.

I purchased something like that a few years back for a power supply project. When it turned up and I finally found it in the packaging I couldn't see it's legs!!

I doubt if the price will drop, since I've been looking at them the price has risen. That said in the US they are much cheaper, it just a case of getting sensible postage.
