    Violating a Princess!

A touch more progress over the last couple of days. As the top coating of the roof was finished I was able to fit the last miasol panel. Extra space was left between these two for the shower fan and solar panel junction boxes. I had some other solar panels to fill the last remaining space. The...

    Forum a bit quiet

What I have found with professional/competent people is, once they have finished a large project or even sometimes a small one for the first time. All they can think about is how poorly they did it and how much better it would be next time. Seeing it as an outsider for the first time you would...

    Fibre/construction board

There are a few versions of "Buffalo Board" the name being a trade name. The genuine stuff is coated both sides and bonded with the same stuff. What they do recommend and I've never seen done is seal the cut edges. The boot floor in Betty is the same stuff and over 20 years old with no sign...

USB sockets, never really thought of having them. Not got any 12 volt ones either. Very good lighting in Murky, so I’m not motorhoming in the dark ages. ;)

If you stare into the darkness, you’ll see the prototype jacking leg. Still needs ears for the ram and I think some gussets as I’ve had to space it further away from the chassis than I’d like. What a horrible position to drill holes in, but all done on one side so less work in the future...

I think it was £45'000 for a 616 chassis bulkhead when I looked at doing a new build.

    Violating a Princess!

Took the day of today to finish sanding the paint off Betty’s roof. My thirty year old orbital sander fell apart! So rather than fix it I dug out a fifty year old one. I had to swap backing pads as rats had eaten the foam. Oh what a dream to use, I should have used it sooner. As I mentioned...
