    'Chinese' Diesel Heater

Thanks guys, as soon as I get the heater out and can measure the depth of my floor, I can get a turret ordered and then decide what to do from there. Yesterday was spent under the van,of which I'll mention in the right place.

    'Chinese' Diesel Heater

Just had another read through this topic and I have decided to un-install my heater and order a turret. It just looks so right, that the expense of a turret and hole saw has to be worth it, so many thanks to Rae for his fine article with photo's.

    'Chinese' Diesel Heater

This has been an absolutely brilliant thread, which I should find helpful when I get to the point of firing my heater for the first time. Can't see it happening till at least August as my build continues at pace.....snails pace!

Nice of you to say so, but with the amount of work you have had to do to your chassis etc, I take my hat off to you. (y):)

Just realized I have had a monster senior moment, I was on the page dealing with Chinese diesel heaters, and added a bit more of my self build there instead of here. Maybe someone on Admin can correct that please.....pretty please, and awfully sorry.

Ordered some cladding today from Wickes, using click and collect, had heard it was in short supply, but got my order confirmation, so now I wait to be told when I will be able to collect. Has any body used a Stanley electric brad nail gun, and are they any good. £40 quid in B&Q. Still doing a...

    'Chinese' Diesel Heater

So there I was, gently trying to persuade some curvature into the exhaust pipe, when I felt it give.......%^$*£"!.......so a trip to the internet shop for some new flexi pipe and rather than jubilee's, like Rae, clamps to fasten it together. I also have some old ducting which is far superior to...

    'Chinese' Diesel Heater

That's what I was thinking, a little bit of fuel run to a container would probably save a whole load of faff!

    'Chinese' Diesel Heater

Hia Ray, got a lot of the heater in today, and weather permitting I will finish it tomorrow. with fitting the heater, that has allowed me to fit the second part of the floor. Still hoping to get away next winter, but not holding my breath, I think the chance of a second wave of this plague is...

    'Chinese' Diesel Heater

Those clips that come with the heater......$%£&$£"!("!....sacre bleau, I think string would have been stronger, time for a route around in my cupboards and if that fails a trip to the internet shop. I may even be tempted to get some of that exhaust wrap.

    'Chinese' Diesel Heater

Thanks everyone for all this information. My Chinese heater should be arriving sometime this week. Has any body seen "Mels van world" video of how he fitted his heater, he fed the exhaust through the floor as usual, but put nothing on the inlet, so that it would draw air from inside the van. I...

    Solar install

I use Stixall black mostly now, but I have used Sudal and it is an excellent adhesive. I had to leave the aluminum frame on my last van as it would not come off without destroying it. I expect someone will be along sometime to tell you that it's unsafe to use adhesive to put your panels on the...

Well my build continues at apace.....a very.......very........slow pace, but I have cut three holes in it and a few more will have to be cut. At the moment I am concentrating on getting the batteries in and the solar up and running, then all the batteries will get charged up. All this parked up...

Few pics of my Iveco bus

Liking the colour (exterior) and so cosy inside. This is what commercial builds seem unable to achieve...a nice cosy space that is a real pleasure to be in.
