Well I’ve gone & bought our next van.. although it’s not a van yet!

If it were me, I would do as I did when going through the DVLA saga, namely, I produced a very detailed high quality booklet in full colour which showed approx. 30 images of the build at various stages of the construction along with a detailed spread sheet showing the costs. This I then perfect...

Well I’ve gone & bought our next van.. although it’s not a van yet!

Darren you me and no doubt the vast majority of us are of the same opinion, all I do know is that it is a bloody stupid minefield out there about which next to no one is likely to know the answer!! And that is the great thing about our exchanging of views and thoughts, there will be some...

Let alone the significant reductions in insurance and international ferry or tunnel charges if the amazing machine is correctly registered.

It's not very often Darren that I disagree with your thoughts but on this one I do! Phil

The damnable DVLA are at it again!!

Yes but when an accredited matching numbers car is brought into the UK from, for instance Australia or South Africa, and the damnable DVLA refuse point blank to give it a date related reg. no., then it does raise the question as to why they are taking this stance? Personally I believe it is in...

    HTF's campervan build

Well, what a story, what a tale and what an adventure. It is so very good to have such a capable converter on our site. Phil

    Hi, from Portugal

All self builds are of interest to the vast majority of us on this forum group. Your build looks to be to an exceptionally high standard which surely must have been a bit difficult doing such a thing in Portugal where I doubt if there are as many good suppliers of materials? The design, was it...

The damnable DVLA are at it again!! For many a long year I have been a subscriber to the Classic & Sports Car magazine because of my almost from the cradle interest in “classic cars” of which over the years I have owned a few, however back to the title of this post “the damnable DVLA are at it...

I agree totally Phil, but as for MarkJ's choice of roads, no matter what I disagree...................... sorry! Phil

Emovis/Liber-T tag location on a Relay

I can understand that the first part of your North to South journey is almost moronically boring until you reach the central Loire areas, but from then on you should be in virtually guaranteed good weather and the scenery is almost always out of this world and so worth seeing. There are several...

Emovis/Liber-T tag location on a Relay

I will second your thoughts Phil, I used to live there and only very rarely ever used the damnably expensive autoroutes that also gobbled far more fuel than the other excellent roads! We always found that even if we were in a hurry the amount of time we ever saved by using an Autoroute just...

    Project van?

But how well were the windows installed for one added to which I for one would never go for that type of window (not double glazed), sorry Kev but the whole thing looks shabby and in my mind of questionable quality.

    Project van?

I would say that botched up job of a conversion is more than somewhat steeply priced when you consider the fact that most would want to strip everything out and start all over again! Furthermore and going by the MOT history the van hasn't been exactly loved having patently had a hard life. Phil

Are you keeping a close eye on the weight Darren? I only ask as you make mention of an oak sideboard and oak, most especially solid oak is very heavy, but by the way you are going to end up with one very spacious interior and as for the size of the loo compartment, well it looks bigger than...

Removing the side door on a Pg Boxer.

This is one of the replies I have received so far:- "It's not difficult but you need to be careful as it's heavy. If you have a pair of adjustable axle stands (ideally with screw adjustment) it makes life easier for supporting the door. The attachments are obvious, work from the top with at...
