I came across a Thule Easybase on EBay and thought it a clever idea and it would be perfect to chain my generator onto but the price put me off. Then I came across a Bak Rak which was a little cheaper but still expensive. I watched a video on YouTube but didnt like the easy On easy Off idea very much, it would be easy Off for a thief too. So I though that I could make a better stronger one myself, here's my effort.
Well it takes a bit more effort to bolt on but the same applies for someone taking it off..I can chain the generator to it and also run the chain through the towbar...I reckon it would be just too much hassle for a thief and they would walk away. As you can see I drilled two holes either side for padlocks/chains/tiedowns.
