    Expansion Foam Insulation

It does a great job getting in all the nooks and crannies and also by bonding to the vehicle skin does a good job of sound deadening too. I would rather have it a bit over thick and cut it back myself.

Lol. If the front of the lockers is 300 high. Is the bottom of the lockers flush or raised up to semi hide curtain rails or lights etc. Are there any practical constraints. Obstructions for opening doors etc. Are all the cupboards the same in size Wall runs are often flush fronts with doors...

As you say each to their own and thats a good thing. Its good to see people having a go. Everyday is a schoolday and techniques develop and evolve.. I have seen people with few tools and little experience fit out narrow boats and its often that I notice an unorthodox solution to a particular...

Ho ho. Great thread. Ask 3 woodworkers the same question and get 4 different answers. Using a template to cut out for doors and then using the cut out parts FOR doors seems jolly clever but is it better?. Personally I think the pic with the overlay doors on the first post is a better option...

Dunnit got me a plunge saw

Fabulous bit of kit, great for slicing up sheet materials and for slicing off horns and door fitting. Just be aware that in rare instances they can catch and jump back which could possibly go back over your free hand. This is why they recommend you keep both hands on the saw. Sometimes you need...

    Help Wiring?

For your 240v ring main I would use 2.5mm arctic cable twin and earth Now then grasping your plan you know exactly where every thing is going It may be that the side door is going to prevent a full cable run on that side so it might be easier to run all your cables down the other side if you...

    Help Wiring?

And you do have a clear plan of the basic layout dont you Sue Slight adjustments can usually be made but a big change around can really throw a spanner in the works So You should have an idea where your 12v distribution point is going to be -you may already have a fuse board/breaker panel...

Best adhesive wood to fibreglass any ideas please.

I had a play around with some ct1 today and it does seem to be pretty good stuff. I was particularly impressed by its fast grab with virtually no slide even on vertical surfaces. Quite pleased about this as I have 2 boxes about 20 tubes (long story) of the stuff Good luck with your build Mart

Best adhesive wood to fibreglass any ideas please.

Ha ha jokes on me then! Well I actually used some ct1 last week and it looked like silicone , smelt like silicone and behaved like silicone. I used it as a panel adhesive and it worked very well I noticed it had an ingredient list on the tube so I am going to investigate this further as i...

Best adhesive wood to fibreglass any ideas please.

Yeah Ct1 would be ok but small word of caution for silicone based sealants/adhesives. When using these they tend to be very messy and get spread around a lot (as do many of the alternatives)so you need to be careful that they are not spread around on clothing or your hands etc as they can cause...
