    Frigid fiddling's

Yes I'm aware of the principle, I suppose I was being cynical when I said I dont understand it, I should have said I have never found it necessary. If the fridge compartment is constructed correctly and the fridge is in good condition. Anything over 45deg is so exceptional as to be unlikely...

    Frigid fiddling's

Squirrel, I've mentioned this before can't remember if on this site or others, I really don't understand all this fan stuff, I've been out in Venice and central France where the temperature was in excess of 40deg in two different Van's with two different makes of fridge not in the same years...

    Thule awning leg mounts

Really I dont feel that if you use sealant adhesive and self tappers its necessary to go over the top with fixings, as I mentioned if someone has an awning out in anything other than a light breeze without hold downs then they are asking for it. I remember about 10 years ago we were in...

Honestly you can get some really good plastic Nave plates now with all the fiat centre badge and all and until you are actually stood next to them it's very difficult to tell that they aren't alloy wheels. These are mine Phil P.s. They are not the knock on kind either the wheel nuts actually...

    Thule awning leg mounts

By the way Dave if they are genuinely Thule brackets dont give them away cheap they are £25 for the pair.🤪Phil

    Thule awning leg mounts

The fiamma brackets are totally different Dave, the Thule brackets the outside slides up the leg foot is then inserted bottom first then top pushes home after that slide outer case back down and this locks the foot in place securely. Phil

    Thule awning leg mounts

That was my original worry, however I have glued and screwed as they say and with both types of fixing I feel that the polypropylene plastic mount would give before any damage would occur to the van wall or screws being ripped out. However I would not like to trust it in high to moderate wind...

What is this please ? Wiring Diagram for the components ?

What items are in the van that use heavy ampage ?, that must be your first aim to find out I.e. auto step, three way fridge or even are the internal lights halogen because if they are they would need a switched relay if using a minimal ampage classed light switch or does it have a duty water...

    Ducato windscreen

Its actually a log cabin Squirrel 😄 a bit like a Swiss chalet and a very large and gently sloping roof which ends exactly level with the roof of the van Plenty of room for the ambulance though 😄 Phil P.s Infact I can step of the roof of the cabin straight on to the van roof.

    Ducato windscreen

Same here Phil but I find that I can't apply enough pressure at the broom head to remove the stubborn dirt/insect strike, to really get it clean and shiny I have to climb onto the shed roof and work downwards on that area. Phil

    Ducato windscreen

I personally stand in the driving light areas on the plastic bumpers, I find that it's quite safe as to not damaging the bumper ( But my bumper is black plastic not solid colour or metallic paint)and with fairly good balance I can successfully clean the whole screen but I am lucky to be nimble...

    Thule awning leg mounts

In the past I've always avoided these awning leg mounts that are screwed to the van side wall to allow the awning legs to fit into a plastic shoe and allows you to put the awning out when pitched on tarmac/ concrete areas. I have to say that on the continent in Aires I have often seen motorhome...

Electrolux Three Way Fridge - Gas Ignition Sparker - Automatic Wiring ?

To be honest Raw I'd personally if the 230v/(240v if your old fashioned) is producinging the required 230volts then I'd use that for the 230v connection provided it was going back to a 6amp fused consumer type supply, as for the 12volt supply I would run a seperate supply from the LB for the...

Electrolux Three Way Fridge - Gas Ignition Sparker - Automatic Wiring ?

By the way do not forget to earth your gas supply pipe back to the 230v earth in the consumer unit, how you join it to the consumer earth is up to you but a lot of folk forget or don't know that the gas pipe in the vehicle must be earthed to the mains earth. Phil

Electrolux Three Way Fridge - Gas Ignition Sparker - Automatic Wiring ?

If its three way it must have a dedicated 12volt supply terminal, whether this goes straight to a battery or through a relay controlled by the ign/alternator (Which is the norm)when in operation is relevant, but it must also have a seperate permanent 12volt supply for the fridge ign and...

There are some idiots out there in this self building world of ours!!

Years ago Phil young lads were fitting spacers to Minis and various other small race type cars, because the vehicle regs say that the tyres should not protrude beyond the bodywork I made a tidy profit on occasions fitting and spraying wheel fairings, half the time the tyres were rubbing against...

Electrolux Three Way Fridge - Gas Ignition Sparker - Automatic Wiring ?

This may help but not sure if it's your model, having the model nr would help for a more specific wiring layout though most three ways are very similar. Phil https://www.manualslib.com/manual/45690/Electrolux-Rm-4180.html?page=7#manual

I think Raw exactly what I have said, I went through exactly the same problems as you encountered, and solved it in the same way, its just that I did not read the instructions in the first place :) Phil

Victron Smart Charger Not Playing ball

Very odd Dave because I did just that, I thought oh I know how to do this I've set up so many BT pieces of equipment before that I put the instruction booklet to one side and tried in the usual way to set up a piece of BT, I found that I could pair it with the phone alright but the victron...
