    Telescopic table leg.

Yes, thats a huge disadvantage of the telescopic leg, it stays there. Looked at an old office seat, but doesn't have enough travel. The table is hinged, ( opens up to span distance between seats) so does need support, or do you think I could get hinges strong enough to do away with a support...

    Telescopic table leg.

Thanks very much for the links and suggestions. Looked at some chandlers the other day, they have exactly what I want, really nice stuff too, but OMG huge money. Anyway Im off to see if I can make a telescopic leg from the bits of ply I've got left over. It's not going to be pretty. :lol-049:

    Telescopic table leg.

I'm trying to find a telescopic table leg. The only one I can find is this one, similar or same one also available from CAK tanks. Just seems a bit OTT for what I need. Ideally I want the table to make up the bed between to seats, to do this it obviously has to move up / down, but I also need...

    Scary self build Yikes !!!

As soon as the seats / beds were made I started using it. Never got round to getting it all finished, been using my old camping stove, and a magnetic torch on the ceiling. lol Going to Lapland in Jan, so that has given me the kick up the butt I needed to get some more done. Luckily the only...

    Scary self build Yikes !!!

Unless you have a preference, or are buying new, I wouldn't worry too much about which make of van you choose. General condition and how it has been maintained are more important. Luckily for us that buy used vans, they depreciate really fast. The exception does seem to be the VW Transporter.

    Scary self build Yikes !!!

Sounds the wrong way round to me, sell your car, you have the camper. Then you get to go away even if hubby is working. :lol-049: Seriously though all down to budget really, and fitting in a self build in free time just means it takes for ever, or at least seems to. A lot depends on your "wish...

    vw lt31 self build

Fine looking van, going to make a great camper. Just an idea, but I weighed a lot of materials, or used weights quoted on builders merchant receipts, just helps a bit to keep a rough idea as you go along. Well it did help until I lost the bit of paper I was keeping notes on. lol ;)

    Bit of progress.

A bit more progress, Fortunately still on good terms with ex, she has done all the upholstery. Yes, I have double checked for any forgotten pins.:lol-049: The two beds are finished, just needs a bit of snagging, but slowly getting there. Off on the 4th June to Italy and won't have anytime this...

    Bit of progress.

Slow progress, but getting there, lol. Insulation is stuck into panels, and another layer stapled to ply lining. I've used YBS Super Quilt, very fast to fix, and no mess. 2 side doors was a bit of a pain as far as layout, but I was reluctant to loose access to one. Small kitchen unit will go...

Thanks very much, yes, very easy to get into a mess, and I'm still on the easy bit. I just never took pictures of the mess.:lol-053: Just looking forward to end of the week when I can continue with it.

    Bit of progress.

Despite the weather, but with help from a chippy mate, have managed a bit of progress over last few days. Floor insulated and original board back. Frame work for seats / beds and boot area getting there. Some insulation done.

    Another insulation question!

Thats a very tidy job indeed. Are the horizontal battens there to attach cabinets etc, to?

    Another insulation question!

Very expensive, but I've been told that these are about as good insulation as you can get. ACTIS insulation – The benchmark for multifoil insulation products and TLX Thinsulex Multi-Foil Roof Insulation suppliers. We supply TLX Gold, TXL Silver and TLX Rafterfit
