I have wood flooring but stones etc have to be brushed out constant,tried some carpet mats and they shift around a lot. So this may be my next step,rubber penny floor as in service lifts etc.

I used mains flexy cable for 230v sections and proper auto cable for 12v side of van,every thing works as it should and i only made one mistake when i found one set of usb sockets did not work,ten mins tracing back to fuse box found i had connected pos and neg to pos feed spade,quick snip of neg...

Me to phil support you and this site,i try to post each day to help and if pos get the numbers of post up,regards trev.

I would plan the wiring runs first and put all on paper before doing anything,much more easy to correct with a pencil than with a saw.

Yes squiffy prob right about just shutting the site then expecting folks to jump back at the flick of a switch,cannot ever see phil do that.

Mine all in £100 but if one bit goes bang then easy to change rather than the whole thing,these things always happen at the wrong time to.

Thanks for posting but expensive me thinks,i have a £26 unit doing the same job for solar and a £40 battery charge set up. I would never put all my eggs in one basket and rather keep things simple and separate.

Paint them black,nout wrong with rivets,worked well on spitfire wings and it could dive at almost 500mph,cannot see your van going that fast.(y)

Great job. Wheels are best shotblasted then primed with epoxy 2 pack & finished with polyurathane 2 pack. Taking a cable through the roof is best done using a boat deck gland which can be bought on ebay cheap

Thanks chris and phil,must say its very qt at moment and the weather outside is cr-p to say the least,hope there is no snow at weekend.

Treat all rust once cleaned with two pack zinc rich epoxy,jutin clark or sigma are good quality paints.

To much work on at house so only out on sat/sun if lucky.

Chips here are a fail if within wiper blade stroke drivers side.

Eat porrage for breakfast,drink nettle soup and eat nothing out of boxes.
