I disagree phil,as for home use ie web email face book ebay picture storage etc i find lite or mint top dollar,most folk dont want to do what you use a pc for and are only wanting to do the above,linux is free easy to use and no spyware never mind being fast using little power or space on most...

You must be going to use a inverter to power the 230v plug though not a thing i would do,better to use all 12v equpment as inverters kill batterys unless you have a large bank of them for say a m/wave etc. Anyway health to wear new van & hope all goes well with build.(y)

I agree,linux lite is a bit like win 7 to use,the other bit i detest with win is the fact that little tail ends of downloads stay which in the long run clog up and slow the sys down to a crawl,in lite i can clear all leftovers in a second. Last win i ues was xp but due to crashes etc my friend...

Well sorted you hope all goes well,do make sure you get some usb sockets fitted somewhere handy for charging phones/laptops/satnaves or tablets etc

Here is a we screen shot of lite working,just look at bottom icons,menu mail web and all folders,to right two working screens to switch between,dropbox,modem connection,speaker on of vol ,time and calender,so simple aint it.

Dont think old pc with little ram etc will go to well on 10,remember it eats hard drive space where linux uses about 1.5 gig for install,thanks for heads up on that,i have looked at win but because of the spyware and wins dumping of old files filling drives up never mind being akward to use i...

Tut tut no table training from birth,my butler would not approve of such behavour, most times when out in van i eat out to treat the wife and kids at week ends,do get your point about tables as some vans i have seen have very little room inside.(y)

I dont go to linux forums for that very thing,best to get a linux chap to load and run you round it,ten mins will have you doing email web pictures doc folders etc,most stuff is drag and drop.

If it runs win 10 then it will be 64 bit.

Which distro were you using,some are for geeks where the more top 5 or so are made for numties like me,lite and mint are top notch distros and very easy to pick up,however if folk have trouble understanding how there tumble dryer switches on then forget it. I have talked to many windows users...

No win stuff works easy on linux,it is doable but why bother as linux has the same under other names doing a much better job. I always tell folk forget win when working linux,remember win spys on every thing you do and reports back to them,so does google where as linux is secure and spyware...

Linux by far out does the rest for most users one you get to grips with the different desk tops,ie lxde gnome mate etc and the fact that it is case sensitive,all easy with a few tips from me and others. Yes way to much dosh,i could have bout one of two here for 5 grand all like new with very low miles because they were over 5 years old and folk here dont want old things nor do dealers.

Cannot see how folk eat without a table,where do the plates ,cups utensils ie eating irons sit,or do your condiments levitate. My table clips on side wall between rear seats with fold down leg and when not being used locks onto toilet outside wall.

Mine works very hard earning his living.
