    that's what i like about doing a self build, the amount of problem solving involved and the satisfaction you get from coming up with answers .then there's the layout,and making the best use of the space -all good stimulation for the brain !

    carpet tiles will work ,laid on the vinyl, but i don't think trying to put insulation under them will work . i would get a couple of really good rugs,and some sheepskin slippers- in fact i did !

    nay. wore through mine in about 3 months . we spent a lot of time at beaches ,and our feet acted like sandpaper !. awful lot of traffic on a camper floor . best floor is heavy duty vinyl, like Rhinofloor , i don't like it and use cheap,replaceable laminate

    what size skylight ?.if it's a 40x40 or 50x50mm,then cut a bit of card or ply that exact size first. you can then position this on the roof nice and square,before drawing round it and cutting

    ah ! there you are ! i can't do sketches on this,and don't have photos. a double bed needs 3 lengthwise supports.if you look at what i suggested,i have one very strong one spanning the back doors,a central one, and another which can have doors etc for the front of the bed. no woodwork skills...
