So to cut short will it work ok in my van running two 90ah batteries with 200w solar with say some driving every day,if so i may look into fitting one rather than my 202 gas electric.

I have these in my van,good for holding maps and mags in.

To expensive at age,£500 more like it ,then rip the crapy back of and start over.

If i live long enough i will put it on my list of things to build.(y)

AS long as the drip feed is ok and dont flow to much.

Ins may be a problem on oil burners if drip feed.

Now thinking a compressor fridge may be the way to go.

Spied this today at half normal price for trucks,could be fitted to any van im sure.

One cars with auto box the fuel mileage is always lower as there is a loss in any flued drive sys,so car doing 40mpg man/box a auto will only return say around 36mpg.

I will have a look into this as for full timers it may be easy to get free oil from garages,a small under slung tank and some sort of pump would be required to extract some oil for each days use to a header tank.

Auto boxes use more fuel thats why,also no one here can fix them so most have to be shiped back to england

Most diy builders yards will have wast wood cuts which can also be used for stoves,saw dust which can be handy for oil spillages.

Has anyone thought of building a waste drip feed oil burner.

I did that and ground a slot at back so they lock forward and back,i also cut all the cr-p away to.

Did the same and made them lock in reverse,a bit of gigerypokery but saved a packet,heavy bugers to.
