  1. Turbo-charging Motorhome Electrics

I imagine it's Chinglish for changing it from delay on to delay off. Edit, maybe not. Who knows lol
  2. New Build

Looks tidy. What's the DC rating of that relay though?
  3. RPi Venus/Cerbo GX tank measurement

I'd love for someone to give me an idiot solution to having a couple of temperature sensors hooked up. Idiot solution means a written SD card and a plug for the IO header lol. I'll pay of course :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
  4. DVSA checks

I have a tacho in the truck, no card obviously. So there's a form for that lol. Declare a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) does not need a tachograph (publishing.service.gov.uk) MOT guy advised carrying it in the truck as well.
  5. Volvo FL6

Very cool. We have a 7.5t DAF LF, I made a small passthrough that was more to see in the back than get through regularly and used a bellows type rubber that's designed for it. This kind of stuff, but from someone different IIRC: Rubber Accordion Seals : Uni-Grip Rubber and Plastic Seals...
  6. Meter Leads ...

    Ooooh, link?
  7. Meter Leads ...

Nice. I have one of these that has a dodgy connection that I must look at... The leads don't unplug though, bit more involved
  8. Naughty Victron

I get this, never been particularly comfortable with it...
  9. Victron Multiplus - Setting up the Inverter

Alexa is just plugged into a 12V to USB socket, works fine. It's an echo dot, 2nd gen I think. The sockets I have may well be ok with a bit of fiddling around, but I just couldn't be arsed lol
  10. Victron Multiplus - Setting up the Inverter

I have mine in AES - MSW. I didn't get on with the other one as I have a couple of Alexa controlled sockets that didn't get on well with it. What I have done, is to wire a timer in so that the inverter automatically turns off overnight. The fridge seems to stay cool enough as no-one is opening...
  11. Distribution Board

On the GPS module, it's probably best mounted remotely from all of this gubbins, maybe up underneath the roof.
  12. Violating a Princess!

I would so have just squashed that duct in there lol. Looking good!
  13. AC Fridge In Campervan -.Power Consumption Test

Lol. I suspect you're joking but it's to do with all the refrigerant getting shaken up.
  14. AC Fridge In Campervan -.Power Consumption Test

On a slight tangent.... Did we talk about domestic fridges and needing to let them settle after travelling? The instructions often say let sit for x hours before plugging in. I have a hunch mine goes all screwy after a journey if it runs too soon after stopping or during driving.
  15. Cable/fuse sizing.....

I have one of these charging the 12V LB from the trucks 24V system. I did have it as the solar controller, but have since moved to a Victron, mostly because of the monitoring. Now the Ring is just doing the 24V - 12V charging.
  16. 3 D Printing Available - Small Components

I put this on MH a while ago, but thought it worth a mention here as another demonstration of a practical use. It's been a year since we've been using a temporary bit of wood to lock the door from inside so I thought I'd better do something about it. Fitting the lock into the frame I had to cut...
  17. Left or right bladed circular saw

I've only ever used blade on the right. Anything else would just be damn odd lol.
  18. DVLA requirements for change to motor caravan

They keep saying they are reviewing the info on gov.uk, which is fine, but until it's changed it's the rules. They must follow it, or they are forcing you to break the law!
  19. Camper sink

I've posted on sister site, link: https://motorhomer.com/threads/camper-kitchen-sink.40592/
  20. DVLA requirements for change to motor caravan

This was my successful email from January this year when they tried to say mine wasn't a MC.
