    Cooking on gas

Yes a bit of an ordeal steady jigsaw hand required, but as you say worth the effort. Thanks. Inspired by your experimentation I am picking up a full size built under A++ fridge with no ice box on Tuesday, looking forward to fitting that.

    Cooking on gas

Hob/sink and oven dry fitted today, cutting out the worktop to suit the shape of the hob/sink combo was a bit of a daunting prospect so I spent about three hours this morning making templates then went for it. Very pleased with the result, plumbing next weekend.

    Trend 280mm pocket hole jig

I think you are right I have no experience of trend equipment and kreg seems to be the preferred option generally. I don’t think the stand would be of much benefit to me either as most of the YouTube videos I have watched the users are clamping separately. The junior does appear to be an...

    Trend 280mm pocket hole jig

Has anyone used this jig, and is it worth buying ? On amazon at the moment for £50 with 100 screws drill and two driving bits. Pretty much half the price of the kreg jig, so for building some top lockers and storage seating would this suffice. I don’t really want to spend £100 on a tool that...

    Ikea Kitchen units going in.

I have noticed a lot of other builds use these units, my thinking was this can’t be without good reason. Once I have the gas, water and waste in place and do the final fixing I am confident that with the weight of the oven hob sink cupboard contents etc this set up will last the course. While I...

    Ikea Kitchen units going in.

I decided to go with Ikea metod units, having spent weeks trying to buy a used kitchen via eBay with no joy to far or bid to high. I wanted a 1.8 metre run for the base, and used a oven housing and a corner unit with the corner part fitted between the two rather than at right angles to give me...

I am keeping an eye on weight, and will weigh it at various stages of the build but being 7.5 tonne I have some leeway Horses for courses Trev I prefer a hard finish.

My good lady oiled all of the boards rears prior to me fixing, 25mm air gap all round as well to aid venting.

    What’s all this then.

That would be good news, I will trace the wires and if that is the case remove what I don’t need.

    What’s all this then.

No this is on my Iveco ex library. I don’t know yet If any of this may be redundant possibly to do with the power doors or wheelchair lift, all interior lighting charger and inverter are working fine. I will get someone more qualified than myself to check it out when I get to that stage in the...
