    LHD Sprinter

Price will be the decider, if ex company they might be VAT on top, sprinters are good mechanically but watch out for the tin worm as they are not very good at resisting rust, look at any 10 year old sprinter at the lights. I assume that as you posted on this forum it's going to be a PVC...

Still too much and this is of course without going to see what it's like close up. the problem I had with my Masters what the part where the seat meets the back, it wasn't 90 there was a bit that stuck out on both vans and pressed on my lower spine making it numb after a few miles and also at...

    Advice needed before purchase

Fiat Ducato, Citroen Relay & Peugeot Boxers are to favourite vans for conversion for a reason, part are plentiful, they are galvanised so les chance of serious rust if cared for, they are the widest body too and quite square, avoid Mercedes sprinters & VW crafters/LT35s as they rust like crazy...

What are peoples thoughts on this

It is best to start with a clean sheet then you know what you have to do and also know what has been done by whom and where it all is, having some kit to start with is a bonus but it has to be good stuff and of course working. A plan of what you want in a van is essential too, not so much a...

What are peoples thoughts on this

Too much IMHO and the work looks like Steve Wonder did it in the dark blindfolded so bit and pieces may be worth having but £4k would be max for me, but it need seeing and driving to give that much. Hard to tell but the panels don't look very straight, and although some like Renaults, I'm not a...

Are remote gas solenoids worth it?

Always leave it on until I have to change a bottle, my reg has a valve on it too, but I only use that to stop gas falling out of it when changing bottles.

    Clever conversion

The T&G matchwood itself can be as thin as 5mm so not too heavy, but it has to be fastened to something and you need a lot of it.

Family of 8. Coach self build advice.

That's a very specialised point of view, never even considered that but of course, you'd get in the box and if it smelled bad walk away, I did look at a couple and never noticed any nasty niffs but we went with something a bit more usable anyway. A simple box van could be easily insulated which...

Battery only lasts 2 years and a bit?

Our Fiesta has the stop start and it was the same it won't work for a few miles, so we put on a new expensive battery and it's been fine since, we'll never get back the cost of the battery though.

Battery only lasts 2 years and a bit?

A lot of modern cars won't start anyway until the clutch is pressed, as does our Fiesta but I never press the van's clutch.
