    my pleasure ! having looked at your drawing i think it would be better to have the shower behind the driver. putting it by the SLD reduces the room between it and the galley and being floor to ceiling , is quite a big blot to have as you climb in . you could have extra kitchen instead. i know...

    exactly. this layout is better than my last van, which i thought i might sell one day, so it had to have a 2m bed . this long bed opp. the SLD kind of blighted the layout, as i still wanted to be able to carry sheets etc.putting the shower at the back meant no sitting with the back doors open ...

    just pottering now, i reckon the painting takes longer than the making ! needs a couple of curtains or blinds on back and the pillows covering . much better with the windows must get that Webasto in !

    as i did a couple today i took some pics , these are horsebox windows but it's the same method for Seitz etc wooden frame glued overnight,held in place by batten drill locating holes draw shape,mask and cut out with jigsaw check fit use laminate trim blade in router to cut out panel fix window...

    you'll need a stepdown, these can be expensive, and your LBs should be 12v as all your lights and appliances will be mainly 12v .as for an inverter, i have one and never use it . SBMCC is a good source of knowledge for these things

    got a bit involved with other stuff but finally got the doors made,painted and hung. and a bit of floor down. not the greatest floor but cheap ! paint was end of line,luckily we liked the colour !

    ok . pay attention now ! cut and plane some strips of wood of 3 different colours , mine were about 35mm wide, 5mm thick . set the chopsaw to 30 degrees . make first cut, then set the length guide so the next cut creates a perfect diamond shape. now you can cut a few at a time, cut loads ! glue...

    that's twice the table got a mention ! it's a really easy thing to make. the pattern's called Tumbling Blocks and you can make it using a sawbench ,chopsaw and sander, but better with a planer/thicknesser

    bit more progress, built the 2 kitchen units , got the fridge and hob in and connected to gas. had a smev 4 burner but decided to go for chopping this 2 burner grill off a caravan hob-sink-drainer thing . got the sink for a quid at a boot sale . beech worktop from bargain basement

    built the 'bathroom' ,used the old door, expect we'll change the colour, then made the shelf over the cab, great for bedding, i'll front it later. raised the floor at rear to take a 13kg bottle and the 70l water tank . insurance want pics in about 10 days, so will crack on

    not doing much today, got the mini heki in and finished off, spent ages planing down a load of old floorboards cutting them into battens , which i'll use to make the front frames of the cupboards also trying to finalise the layout. think i'll make the bed/ seats at the back on a raised...
