    Help build for me

I think you've all given Robert a head ache 😄. But you're all right of course it's impossible to give a price off the top, especially if a style has not been decided on. Phil

Reversing Camera..... which one to go for?

I've fitted them to the last three motorhomes that I have owned, the first one was quite expensive 15 years ago but the last one was as you say cheap as chips, honestly I would not fit any other kind, it's just like you have a rear view mirror and as has been mention reversing up to the trailer...

    Genuine Vs Copy, Diesel Heaters

Very interesting. My son worked for Snap-on in their garage equipment section, and he also told me that all their heavy lift gear and rolling roads were built in China with American quality control officers in factory. When you think that the mass of engineering companies around the world are...

    My New Website

Great site Dave, looks good, I also hope it goes well for you, you definitely try hard to help others and I suspect that we all could do with a boost of good news in the next few months. 😛Phil

Drawer fronts, latches, runners, and handles.

They are very fast on delivery Squirrell, I used them alot on my last build, I'd order one evening and they would get it delivered within two days, big stuff like the doors arrived next day. Whether it is still their policy during this pandemic I don't know. Phil

Drawer fronts, latches, runners, and handles.

Here is a link to them on Magnums https://magnummotorhomes.co.uk/shop/handles-hinges-catches/hinges/dgn-auto-trail-spring-loaded-hinges/?attribute_pa_sizes=single-hinge Phil.

Drawer fronts, latches, runners, and handles.

I'm pretty sure I got them from Magnum motorhomes but it was along time ago now, I do remember I bought the curved locker doors from them. Phil

Drawer fronts, latches, runners, and handles.

Draw runners Screwfix, plenty of marine draw handles on the net (Flush fit folding) or push button door/draw catches. Or even use sprung loaded hinges with finger ledge to open and close. My overhead lockers have sprung hinges and I can travel in complete safety of stuff being thrown out just...

    Finished build

Brilliant job, though the van is never finished, I've got one or three jobs to finish off and that was 6 years ago 😄. Phil Love the lights, where did you get those, the finger push ones.

    expedition vehicle aluminum windows

Beauty has always been in the eye of the beholder!!! Personally for practicality and cost you have to go a long way to beat the look and quality of a sietz window. 🧐 Phil

    Aqua2use Grey water filter

An interesting subject but if global warming is anywhere near correct then there will be a glut of water in the next century as contrary to understanding before the world disintegrates into dust we will apparently be swamped out with water and folk will be building boats and not motorhomes 🤪. Could be interesting for those worried about diesel heater noise.

Really find it hard to understand the negative thoughts on Truma, I've had Truma heating for water and space for 20 years and find not only are they economic but work really effectively. Admittedly the new Truma combi 4/6 are much better than the early blown air stand alone and separate water...

    Flicking Lights

Do the lights flicker when you are on hook up Rae, if they do then it must be frequency interference from the heater if they don't then it would point to me to be the battery voltage being comparatively low and the heater pulsing and drawing current, hence lights dimming and brightening in...

Gas Combi Boilers, who's got one...???

We are talking combi boilers I thought, your right the early water heaters (Geyser) did indeed draw air from internal sources. Phil

Gas Combi Boilers, who's got one...???

Thats what I have always assumed yes, but we could be wrong. The inducted air is usually also associated with cooling the the flue too. Phil

    Diesel Heater On All Night

I have mentioned this before in other threads, the continental coach builders do not put in floor vents for this very reason, that exhaust fumes were being drawn in from heating appliances through vents in the floor and it was deemed more dangerous than the possibility of build up of escaped gas...

    DVSA checks

Up until this year Squirrel we go abroad 2 or 3 times a year from different ports and on return I don't think I've ever seen a motor home pulled into the inspection building, I've only ever been asked if I've checked for illegal immigrants after being parked up close to the ferry ports, though...

    DVSA checks

Yes I agree Dave, but even though I'm 99% sure my van complys, I still have heart palpitation when I'm approaching the DVSA Road safety check area on the A50 in Wales, and breath a sigh of relief when I can see up ahead that it is unmanned.🤣.Phil

    DVSA checks

The chances of Mr Plod knowing anything about what is classed as a motor home and what is classed as a van with windows or Race vehicle with accommodation to my mind is very slight or indeed if he does look in the garage he or she will probably not bat an eye lid other than maybe asking if you...
