REmember if you put alloy next to steel the galvanic problems will happen, the alloy will disolve as the electrons flow from alloy to steel, you have made a battery, same with alloy rivets to steel, the frame should have been 316 stainless.
Stainless corrodes steel!
Placing a layer of duct tape in the interface will help.
Also using pu mastic in the joint will help.

Having had the spray job finished ( which we are very happy with ) & my mum has completed the upholstery, which looks fantastic 👌.

I’ll be taking the pictures some time this week to send to the DVLA to ask for the class change.
I know it’s a lottery with them, especially as we don’t completely comply with all their requirements! Haha so …. it doesn’t really matter what they choose to class it as, it’s always going to our motorhome…

Trev beat me to it!!

That is one hell of a briliant build, yes if it had been my build I would have done a few things differently, but overall your build has been an eye opening example of total brilliance.

Our 1st night away was last night! Only a short trip, so couple of days away just to find the problems. Haha
We’re in a council car park just off the sea front 👍 it’s £11 for 24 hours.
A couple of little problems have appeared. 1st & probably the worst is our lovely aluminium entrance door condensates !!
The rest of the van has been very well insulated but the door isn’t! So we’re going to have to find a solution somehow?
The water heater doesn’t get hot enough but I know what that is, the flow rate needs adjusting.
The cab curtains aren't blackout enough! Easy to line them 👍
But overall we're very happy with the way it has turned out 👍🤞👌
