Why is this wire cut ?

Hi dpd have cut this wire from internal light system but why the plug go's to the rear lights I'll call it marster as you can change the configuration to on off or doors on light switch

But why ?

So does the light now not work? Or have they disabled the permanant on option? Maybe people kept leaving them on?

All the bulbs on the back are blown in every light all 4 of them. So not a good blub !. so never played with it them just took them out but now including it in the roof / ceiling . Im useing 2 leads on the wall as lights but need too controlle them as above to control over the bed .

Im hopeing there independent of the front but not sure as the back was closed off with bulkhead for them/ dpd.
