We have done it!

At last finalised our plans for our Citroen relay enterprise (H2L2) conversion. We are having it converted by a local firm and are really happy with his knowledge and flexibility so far ( as well as prices!) He met with us three times before we left the van with him, taped out the planned fittings so that we could adjust them, and has been endlessly available to discuss ideas by email or phone. Finally left it with him and will collect it in six weeks max. Sending us photos and said come and visit if we want to see how it's going. After the disaster of a new rubbish build Autotrail, returned for refund, we are so excited to get a van designed to our specs.

You must be going to use a inverter to power the 230v plug though not a thing i would do,better to use all 12v equpment as inverters kill batterys unless you have a large bank of them for say a m/wave etc.
Anyway health to wear new van & hope all goes well with build.(y)

Not planning on using an inverter but he put the socket in, in case we ever use EHU. Linked to the external socket...I think! Don't really get electrics, but have very occasionally used hookup and it seemed better than the extension lead threaded through the window of our first van!
Keeping fingers crossed for the build, seems very odd giving it to someone else to do but Dave just has not got the time!

Finally got round to posting some photos of our newly converted van! Currently in Spain, testing everything and planning little extra bits which we want added. Bruce from Suffolk Campers has done an amazing job, booked us in for our return to do extras and finish a couple of bits which we left do do when we get back. Splashback, drop down flap for counter, and several extra shelves were left as we had booked to leave and ran out of time. Particularly pleased with the bed, large garage underneath but centre section removable for versatility.
