hi does anyone know which way round the stepped olive should be fitted on a truma regulator ie the shoulder towards the body of the regulator or away from the body.regards aidan

Can't remember which way round but offer the olive up to the regulator body on its own and see which side fits best, I would go with that then once you have sealed it check for leaks, some soapy water brushed on and look for bubbles.

The olive fits with the fatter end towards the nut so the thinner part of the olive is pushed into the regulator body , don't over tighten it !
