Thetford c223cs electrics

Hello All
Hopefully someone out there will be able to help me. I’m installing a thetford toilet that flushes from the main water tanks via a sureflow pump - so nothing very elaborate. The wiring from the toilet has and red and black for the 12v but then also a grey and purple for a ‘remote pump relais’. Can I just ignore these as my pump is pressure switched to supply water to the flush or do I need to feed some other cables in there?

Hi there. - I have the exact same issue. Did you end up just connecting the red and the black to your power supply and ignoring the grey and purple? Does it work ok?

Not sure what a "Pressure pump relaise " is, but the red and black would be required to operate the on/off valve i.e. Pressing the flush button opens the flush valve which inturn allows the pressure in the cold water system to flush the bowl, once you release the flush button the flush will stop but the pump will continue to pump until the pressure in the water system once more reaches the cut off pressure, just like opening and closing a water tap on the kitchen sink or basin tap in the bathroom if you have one. The grey and purple is for a remote pump and in my opinion can be safely ignored and folded away and made electrically safe. Phil

Thanks for the reply. I think 'relaise'is just a typo, meant to be relay. I also just got a reply from Nomadic Leisure, who also say this should just work off the 2 wires, positive and negative. They also say the other 2 wires are possibly for submersible pumps.

Yes this is how I view it, the supposed relay powers up a simple submersible pump and the red and black open the valve to allow the submersible pumped water through to flush the bowl. Phil
