Renault Master tyres?

The tyres fitted to 'Millie' are the standard size of 225/65 R16 112

Although there is still loads of tread on the excellent Khumo tyres I have fitted I am thinking of changing at least the fronts to an All Terrain pattern tyre as I am fed up with getting stuck on even slightly wet grass, let alone mud........... oh an over on Black Rock sands last year I had to be towed out twice!!

I am not bothered about road noise or even fuel economy and I am not bothered about having different makes of tyres on both ends, I had even been thinking of fitting INSA Turbo remoulds as I always favoured them in my Land Rover days, but they don't make anything that is suitable size wise.

Any ideas bearing in mind that I am a tight git!!

Can't suggest anything from experience I'm afraid, but I'd be interested to see how much they might help.

After the last time I got stuck on damp grass I bought an extra door mat to match the one we already had to use as grip strips.

Much cheaper than new tyres...!

I tried two of the specialist remould tyre manufacturers including INSA and I am afraid that neither can offer any kind of get out of jail card!!

I have tried using extra door mats Mark and I have even tried using our wooden ramps but for various reasons they proved to be next to useless.

I have a set of snow chains but I don't think they would be much use in mud or sand.

So my search continues
