Night time buzzing

The layout I'm working up seems almost inevitably to place the electrical gear under the bench seat which I'm putting behind the driver's seat. This turns into a bed at night and I'm wondering whether the gear will make enough noise to annoy us - I just take my hearing aids out but my wife seems to notice noise at night.

I'm thinking of a reasonably meaty inverter, such as the Victron Multiplus 12/3000/120-16, but I can't work out from the specs whether it makes much noise and opinions I've read differ. Does anyone have any experience to offer? And I'm presumably right in thinking that's the only potentially noisy thing? Presumably not the MPPT (at night!)?

And what about 230V fridges? Are any especially quiet/noisy?

The 12v compressor fridge I use is very quiet but the fuel pump for the heater sounds like someone in the distance tapping a hammer on stone.
Maybe put the heads at the other end of the bed and buy some earplugs for the wife?

What make fridge have you got, if you don't mind my asking?

When the multiplus 12/3000/120 is working, it can buzz. The more load, be it charging the battery or providing AC via the battery, the more of a buzz.

Now I hate ticking clocks and have to take the battery out of any in a room that I am trying to sleep in but I don't actually notice any noise from the MP and it doesn't stop me sleeping although I do know it is making it (and the MP is under the bed at the foot end).
Now when I had a CRX-50 12V fridge, that little kick when the compressor starts tended to wake me up from around 4am in comparision.

So I can tell you it (MP3000) is not silent, but enough to keep you awake or wake you up? who knows?

Thanks. So I reckon at night it’ll be pretty much silent unless it’s powering my fridge, which will be a tiny load compared with what it’s capable of. Thank you!

If you are getting the MP 12/3000 and using for a fridge, then setting the AES up to only come on when there is demand is very worth while. It takes a bit of fine-tuning to get the right numbers but for example, in my case I have the inverter come on when the load exceeds 51W.
In this mode when the inverter is in AES more, it uses less than 2W/Hr. (only downside is the fridge light doesn't work as the fridge has no power unless it is actively running :) )

PS. Potential noise from 230V Fridges? Will bound to depend on what you buy but I cannot see what an AC fridge would be different from a DC fridge in general terms. My own 240V Fridge in my camper happens to be the quietest fridge I have ever have in any environment.

Why such a big inverter,mine is 600w silent sleep mode and works my 3ah 230v fridge.

I don't know why one is described as 43L and one is 42L. They used to be the same with just a colour choice. I reckon they are still identical other than colour.
These are the same kind of physical size and capacity as a 12V Camper Fridge such as a Weaco CRX-50 (which is a 45L fridge).

All above are A++ Energy Rating. The power use is quoted as 70W and 65W. I find the actual peak power use is 34W.

Up to the individual here, but the only thing I found I needed to do to use this in my Camper was to add on a suitable door lock.
