I wrote a post about middle son's ever increasing 3D Printing skills and a shout out to get any printing work done. He now has two colours of print filament, blue and green !! The filament is £25 to £50 or more a roll depending on what the plastic type is.
The New Old Merc I have has a problem with the Drivers heating and will probably need to strip out the Dash fully, that is another story; but in the interim I have been thinking and deliberating about switching and isolating components like USB chargers and so on so we have modified the Dash board in the old Mercedes
incorporating 3-D Printing and this little USB Power Supply I wrote about a while ago here
Lachlann has taken some time to make prototype components of the Dash infills
These were tested and developed and I bought some blue filament
The centre part was created from what was a small compartment that was removed from the dash
Made some additional mods as did not like the metal in the USB charger showing at the front
Finished Article
Time Lapse Video of USB Box Build (for anyone that's interested)
Octoprint, which is a 3D Print server for The Raspberry Pi (We are using a Pi 2B but a Pi 3 would be better IMO)

Any questions or if you need anything printing, get in touch.
