Hi, I was wondering if any one could give me some advice please.
I had a battery explosion under my seat and its made a total mess. I was able to remove the metal frame and sort that out but the wood panelling needs replacing, where would be the cheapest/best place to go, any recommendations plz.

Thanks Ken.

Oh bugger, that sounds terrible Ken, I feel for you.

Do I gather that you are not into DIY repairs by the reading of your post? And might it be that your insurance will not cover the repairs?

It might be best if you could put up a few images of the damage so that we can all give you a bit of advice.

Fingers crossed that it won't be too difficult to repair.

Hope you washed every thing many times to get ride of acid, now go find out why it happened, low on water/acid or over charging, maybe plain done with old age or mistreatment by running down to far.

Did the explosion happen when the welding was happening?

I know of a case where the battery was totally correctly installed - a Wet Cell battery with a vent tube connected and routed down to a hole in a floor grommet. Some welding work done underneath the vehicle ......
