Good Morning !!

I have started training with these people
www.thelgvtrainingcompany.co.uk

With a view to driving the larger HGV's and in a year or so perhaps looking to transport dangerous cargos for greater financial reward.
I would be interested in linking up with any Truck Drivers that are in the MHB group or any of the linked websites like WC or MH ?

Only recently started the training. At the moment I am cramming theory practise test questions and will do the Hazard perception parts too. Have had the Medical and passed and waiting on DVLA returning license and Tachograph Card although I do have the Provisional on my license now

Hopefully I will find this rewarding both in work and much needed money after the hardships of the past decade or so.

Let me know if you are a truck driver and how you are finding it please ?
All the best and thanks for reading

In the process of trying to get my class c back after I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. Personally don't believe I have it, just can't sleep due to being in pain constantly. Anyhow, miss my job something terrible, best job I ever had tramping for ups all over GB. Hope you achieve your goal, if its in your blood to drive then you'll love it as much as I did....

Good luck with getting your Class C back, hopefully the DVLA will not block you. So you worked for UPS on the bigger trucks or 7.5 Tonne ones?

Cheers

Worked for UPS/SCS supply chain solutions. Class 1 artics out from Monday morning to Saturday lunch. Lot of work for big companies, Argos was a big client. Picking up all over the country & delivering consolidated loads anywhere in the country. Lot of work in & out of Amazon etc. Trying for gastric surgery just now, been advised that dramatic weight loss should sort a lot of my health issues as well as making life more bearable. If that doesn't work I will probably end up back in plant hire. That could fit in well with my plans to fulltime when the future allows.... 👍☺

Hope that goes well, look maybe at Keto diets for weight loss, has worked for me, though tough as a Vegetarian, or this really good book
The Hybrid Diet by a couple of Doctors. It is hard the whole dieting thing, I wrote a small article in a magazine I help publish for aa good friend, check it out here if you like.
The curtain siders are maybe what I will go for, although a friend, who is semi-retired from HGV said he found flat-beds with rope & sheet less stressful !
Plant hire, not something I have done, though worked in construction for a time.
Gastric surgery is kind of invasive and has some nasty side effects so if you can make a lifestyle change through eating then best of going that way. I would recommend watching the Magic Pill if you get chance
All the best

You poor so and so Gregg, constant pain is something I used to have in my joints but I was lucky and discovered a get out of jail card which worked for me one of which was self hypnosis which took quite some time to learn but boy oh boy how it helped me.
