Fits 12mm ply with carpet with a bit of care (open edging up slightly first so it doesn't unglue the carpet)

The carpet moved house with me in 1984 - and now is part of the carpeting in the loft

I didn't particularly enjoy the carpeting stage of my own conversion project. Still a bit to do, and I've still got most of the wiring to do.
I used the four way stretchy stuff that helen262 mentioned, which I guess must be easier, but it still damn near drove me to distraction at times

New headlining covered in easy trim and in place... Side loading door done (worst bit due to access grrrr)
Need to replace side loading door seal.... as previous owners efforts with white paint looks cack
